Dining
Your dining experience at Lake Saroma Tsuruga Resort focuses on Hokkaido’s seasonal ingredients. Local farmers and fishers supply the kitchen with fresh produce from the Okhotsk region—one of Hokkaido’s top food sources. You can enjoy buffet-style meals or choose from French and Japanese menus. The restaurant offers sweeping views of Lake Saroma, turning every meal into a scenic experience. Dietary requests are welcome, and the bar offers a comfortable setting for evening drinks.
Onsen and Wellness
Wakka no Yu, the resort’s hot spring bath, is a rare spring rich in both iron and chloride. This unique combination helps retain warmth and is often called Netsu no Yu—the bath of heat. You can enjoy a calm soak with lake views from the second-floor bath or settle into the Japanese-style design on the first floor. The baths rotate between men and women based on time of day, so you’ll always have a space that feels safe and quiet.
Public bath hours:
- 2:00 pm to midnight
- 5:00 am to 9:00 am (closed from midnight to 5:00 am for cleaning and gender rotation)
Important notes:
- Children under six may use public baths and changing areas with either parent.
- You must bathe without clothing or swimsuits. Towels are not allowed in the water.
- If you have tattoos, the resort asks that you do not use the public hot springs.
You’ll also find a sauna, steam room, and open-air bath to round out your wellness experience.
Guests with Tattoos
If you have tattoos, please note that the public hot springs are not available. Consider booking accommodations with a private bath or exploring other relaxing spaces at the resort.
