Overview

Hakone Suimeisou is a peaceful spot near the Hayakawa and Sukumogawa rivers in Hakone Yumoto Onsen. Despite its location in a lively town, the ryokan is quiet where you can relax and enjoy the timeless charm of a traditional hot spring town. Just two minutes from Hakone-Yumoto Station, this is an ideal spot to unwind and immerse yourself in the natural beauty of Hakone.

Accommodation

Hakone Suimeisou has many traditional Japanese rooms that look out onto the peaceful Hayakawa River. Some rooms include open-air baths where you can enjoy nature in privacy. Options vary from Japanese-style rooms to a mix of Japanese-Western styles, perfect for solo travelers or larger groups. For solo travelers, the annex offers rooms without meals, allowing free access to the main building’s hot springs.

Dining

Savor the seasonal flavors of both land and sea with Hakone Suimeisou’s exquisite kaiseki meals. Ingredients are locally sourced, with dishes evolving throughout the year to highlight the best of each season. Meals are served either in your room or in private dining areas for a quiet and intimate experience. Special menu requests, such as fresh sashimi platters or Ashigara beef, can be made in advance.

Onsen & Wellness

Hakone Suimeisou features several bathing options, including large communal baths and private open-air baths. The “Tsukimi no Yu” bath offers stunning views of the surrounding nature, while the private baths, “Shirasagi” and “Kawasemi,” allow for a more exclusive and personal experience. These hot spring baths are ideal for relaxing both body and mind.

Guests with Tattoos

Guests with tattoos are welcome to use the private open-air baths. For public baths, it’s advised to cover tattoos with a waterproof seal beforehand, as seals are not provided on-site.

Facilities

The ryokan boasts a range of facilities to enhance your stay, including banquet halls, a meeting room, Club Hanamizuki for after-party gatherings, and a spacious lobby. There’s also a kids’ space in the lobby, providing a safe area for children to play. Free Wi-Fi is available in all guest rooms and lobby areas.
