Accommodation

Each of Shinan’s thirteen maisonette-style rooms gives you complete privacy and a deep sense of comfort. Every room includes an indoor bath that flows directly from the hot spring source, as well as a garden bath where you enjoy the changing light and seasons. The water, often described as “beauty water,” feels soft and silky on your skin. You can unwind in the warm steam while listening to your favorite music through the built-in audio system.

Special Rooms: Kokoryu / Kokoharu

These spacious rooms offer more than 100m² of space, with cypress and rock baths, elegant furnishings, and complimentary drinks. The wide second-floor living room creates a calm and inviting atmosphere where you can relax and stretch out.

Room with Sauna: Ran

This room gives you a convection sauna where you enjoy self-loyly with natural hot spring steam. The garden bath outside lets you feel the breeze while you soak.

Rooms with Low-Temperature Bedrock Baths: Tomo / To

You warm your body slowly with the low-temperature bedrock bath. The second-floor living room uses tatami flooring, and you sleep in comfortable beds, creating a restful blend of traditional and modern design.

Standard Western Rooms: Hi / Jin

These maisonette rooms feature warm wood accents and an inviting living area. You can enjoy the indoor bath and garden bath at your own pace.

Standard Japanese-Western Rooms: Bu, Gi, Shin, Bun, Rei, Takumi

These rooms combine Japanese and Western elements with playful architecture in the ceilings, beams, and walls. Some rooms feature unique designs, such as a golden bowl bath, adding charm and personality to your stay.

Every building and room has antiviral and antibacterial coatings to maintain a clean environment throughout your stay.

Dining

Shinan follows a “separate lodging and meals” style, giving you the freedom to choose when and where to eat. The hot spring at Shinan is a sodium bicarbonate spring with a pH of 8.2. The water feels smooth, light, and gentle, similar to silk on your skin. As light moves across the water, the pale blue color shifts gently. You may find yourself gazing at the surface and losing track of time.
