Overview
When you step into Hotel Sansenkaku, you’ll feel an elegant blend of city energy and traditional Japanese inn serenity. This hotel reopened in 2025 after a full renovation, giving you a spacious, refined retreat where style meets calm. You’re perched with a view: from the 9th-floor observation deck, you can drink in sweeping vistas of Beppu Bay, Beppu Tower, and the surrounding hills. Because of its location just a short walk from Beppu Station, you get both great access for sightseeing and a peaceful haven to return to in the evenings.
Accommodation Information
You’ll find a range of rooms to match how you travel. Choose a standard twin room, deluxe twin, or a Japanese-Western style suite. Some rooms go further — you can get a semi-open-air bath right in your room, which means you can soak in hot spring water in private, enjoying both the view and the comfort of your own space. Every room comes with air conditioning, a 65-inch TV (you can mirror your phone or stream), a humidifying air purifier, and a kettle for tea. Toiletries, towels, and yukata robes are provided, so you can fully relax without worry.
Dining
You get to enjoy meals in thoughtfully arranged dining spaces on the 4th floor: Main Dining “Peacock” and the “Sai-no-Ma” dining room. Dinner is crafted in a set-course style, weaving in local Oita ingredients that reflect the changing seasons. When breakfast time rolls around, you can sit down to a spread that blends Japanese flavors with just enough Western influence, helping you start your day full and refreshed.
After a relaxing soak or a busy day of exploring, you can unwind in the lobby lounge. Here, complimentary drinks are available, giving you a relaxing corner to chat, read, or simply enjoy the view.
Guests with Tattoos
If you have tattoos, you can still enjoy the hot springs by choosing a room with a private open-air bath. If you plan to use the public baths, please check with the ryokan in advance, as policies may vary depending on the season and occupancy levels.
