Overview

Step into this coastal retreat shaped by the gentle rhythm of the sea and the warm atmosphere of the Izu Peninsula. The Inatori-so ryokan sits on a hillside overlooking Sagami Bay, giving you wide ocean views from the moment you enter the lobby. Soft light, natural textures, and a calm seaside breeze help you slow down and settle into a relaxed rhythm as soon as you check in.

Enjoy the soothing hot spring water, fresh seafood, and the peaceful charm of Inatori Onsen. Whether you want to watch the sunrise over the ocean, take quiet walks along the coast, or spend long evenings soaking in outdoor baths, Inatori-so gives you a comfortable and refreshing base throughout your stay.

Accommodation

Your room at Inatori-so gives you space and comfort designed to help you unwind. You can choose from Japanese-style rooms with tatami floors, Western-style rooms with beds, or mixed layouts that combine both. Each room uses warm colors, simple lines, and natural materials that help you relax the moment you walk inside.

Many rooms offer sweeping views of the ocean. You can sip tea while watching fishing boats move across the water or enjoy soft evening colors as the sky blends into the horizon. Some rooms include private open-air baths fed by natural hot spring water. These baths let you soak while breathing in fresh sea air and listening to the gentle sound of the waves.

Your room includes yukata, a tea set, toiletries, and comfortable seating so you can settle in without needing anything extra. The layout encourages slow, peaceful moments from the start of your stay to the end.

Dining

Dinner focuses on the flavors of Izu, especially fresh seafood from the Inatori area. You can enjoy seasonal ingredients, local fish, and the ryokan’s signature kinmedai, prepared with care in dishes such as simmered kinmedai and the house-style “Inatori-so rice.”

At the dining restaurant Pesce de Kuwasse, you can choose fish for sashimi at the entrance, then watch the chefs prepare it fresh. Other dining spaces include Naminone, a more private eight-room dining area renewed in January 2023, Shokkura, and Shiosai Dining, where freshly prepared dishes come to your seat.

Breakfast is served as a buffet in the main dining room, with more than 40 items. Popular choices include croissants, kinmedai ochazuke-style rice balls, and wasabi nori prepared with care by the head chef. In selected suite stays, breakfast is served in a private room with freshly cooked rice prepared for your mealtime.

Onsen and Wellness

TThe baths give you one of the most memorable parts of your stay. On the 7th floor, the large public baths “Umi” and “Kamome” include indoor bathing and open-air bathing, with views of the bright sea, sunset colors, and the night sky. The open-air bath “Sora” is especially open and scenic.

You can also use the dedicated bath building “Yukkura,” open from 15:00 until 11:00 the next morning. It has separate men’s and women’s areas, with indoor baths, open-air baths, and special bathing spaces such as a reclining bath or barrel bath depending on the floor.

For private bathing, you can reserve one of two top-floor open-air baths, “Mikazuki” or “Mangetsu.” Each session lasts 50 minutes and gives you your own space with sea, sky, moon, and stars above you. The hot spring is Inatori Onsen water, classified as a sodium-calcium chloride spring.

After bathing, you can rest in the relaxation areas, cool down, hydrate, and enjoy the lingering warmth that stays with you long after you leave the water. The flow of the day becomes natural and easy when you move between baths, rest, and quiet moments in your room.

Guests with Tattoos

If you have tattoos, you can enjoy the hot springs by reserving a private bath. You simply book a time at the front desk, giving you privacy and comfort while you soak in the healing water at your own pace.

Since the ryokan also offers reservable private open-air baths, book one of these rooms if you have a tattoo.
