Overview

Stay high above the Kofu Basin at Fruit Park Fujiya Hotel, inside Fuefukigawa Fruit Park in Yamanashi. From this hillside setting, you can look towards Mount Fuji, the surrounding mountains, orchards, and the city lights below.

The view across the basin has been recognised as one of Japan’s New Three Major Night Views. During the day, the landscape changes with peach blossoms, vineyard greenery, autumn colour, and clear winter skies. At night, thousands of lights spread across the basin beneath the mountains.

With 43 non-smoking rooms, four dining venues, natural hot spring baths, a wine lounge, banquet halls, and direct access to the park, the hotel gives you an easy base for discovering Yamanashi’s fruit, wine, and scenery.

Accommodation

Choose from Western rooms, Japanese rooms, a Japanese-Western room, and spacious suites. Views differ by room position, but you can see mountains, the Kofu Basin, Mount Fuji on clear days, or the night lights from many categories.

Standard Twin Rooms measure 36 square metres and sit on the fourth and fifth floors. Two beds and an optional extra bed accommodate up to three people. One room follows a more accessible layout. Selected fourth-floor Standard Twins connect with ten-tatami Japanese Rooms, which works well when you travel with family or friends but want separate sleeping spaces.

Japanese Rooms offer either ten or 12 tatami mats and use futon bedding. The ten-tatami category includes five rooms, while the 12-tatami category includes ten. These rooms sit on the third and fourth floors.

The 15-tatami Japanese Room is a larger single room on the third floor. It accommodates up to seven people and offers views towards Mount Fuji, the surrounding mountains, and the basin.

The Japanese-Western Room is an 81-square-metre corner room on the fourth floor. It combines two beds, space for an extra bed, and a ten-tatami Japanese room where additional futons can be prepared. Sliding screens let you separate the tatami area when you want more privacy.

Studio Twin Rooms measure 26 square metres and sit on the third floor. Two Simmons beds and a compact layout make this category suitable when you plan to spend most of the day exploring Yamanashi.

Deluxe Twin Rooms measure 46 square metres and accommodate up to three people. Only two rooms follow this design, and both offer wide views towards the mountains, Mount Fuji, and the city lights.

The Superior Twin is a 64-square-metre junior suite on the fourth floor. Two beds and up to two extra beds accommodate four people, while the windows look across the Kofu Basin.

The Japanese Suite occupies a fifth-floor corner and measures 108 square metres. It combines a bright 12-tatami room with a separate bedroom containing two double beds. The private bathroom also offers an outside view, although the bath uses regular water rather than natural hot spring water.

The Royal Suite measures 103 square metres and accommodates two people on the top floor. Italian furniture, separate living and sleeping areas, and two Simmons beds create the hotel’s most spacious Western-style stay.

Every room includes heating and air conditioning, a private bath and shower, toilet, television, refrigerator, kettle, tea set, safe, hair dryer, towels, yukata, slippers, and toiletries. Free Wi-Fi is available in the rooms. All room baths use regular water.

Dining

Choose between Western European cuisine, Japanese cuisine, teppanyaki, and a fruit café. Each venue looks towards the landscape or uses ingredients connected with Yamanashi and the changing seasons.

La Collina continues the French cooking traditions associated with Fujiya Hotels. You can enjoy full-course meals and selected à la carte dishes prepared with seasonal produce. Dinner is normally served from 18:00 to 20:30.

At Fuefukigawa, Japanese set courses and kaiseki-style dinners combine seasonal ingredients with seafood, vegetables, and carefully arranged dishes. You can pair your meal with Koshu wine, Yamanashi wine, sake, or another regional drink.

Keyaki offers teppanyaki dining, with carefully selected wagyu and seafood cooked directly in front of you. The counter lets you watch the chef handle each ingredient while you enjoy the sounds and aromas of the grill. Keyaki normally closes on Tuesdays.

Fruit Café Bella Vista faces the terrace through large windows. You can enjoy coffee, light food, cakes, and fruit parfaits that change according to the season. Peaches, grapes, strawberries, berries, and other Yamanashi fruit may appear when available.

For breakfast, you can choose a Japanese meal at Fuefukigawa or a Western breakfast at Bella Vista, depending on your plan and current operation. The Western choices include an American breakfast with eggs, bacon, sausage, bread, salad, fruit, soup, and peach juice, or a salad-focused breakfast with bread and fruit. Breakfast requires advance arrangements.

Onsen and Wellness

Manyo no Yu, also called Fruit Park Onsen, sits on the first basement level. Separate areas for men and women each include a large indoor bath, an open-air bath, and a far-infrared low-temperature sauna.

From the outdoor bathing area, you can look towards Mount Fuji, the Kofu Basin, and the city lights when the weather is clear. The men’s open-air bath includes a framed opening that presents Mount Fuji like a landscape painting.

The natural water is classified as an alkaline simple hot spring. It is clear, colourless, and almost odourless, with a source temperature of approximately 29°C and a flow of around 77 litres per minute.

Because the source temperature is lower than normal bathing temperature, the water is heated. It is also diluted, circulated, filtered, and disinfected rather than used in a fully free-flowing system.

The spring is traditionally associated with easing fatigue, sensitivity to cold, nerve discomfort, muscle and joint discomfort, stiff shoulders, bruises, sprains, and stiffness after physical activity. You cannot drink the spring water.

You can use the baths from 12:00 to midnight and again from 5:00 to 10:30. Bath towels, face towels, shampoo, conditioner, body soap, combs, hair dryers, razors, cotton products, and selected skin-care items are available in the bathing area.

Handrails are fitted inside every bathing pool. Fruit Park Fujiya Hotel does not have a reservable private hot spring bath or a private natural onsen inside any accommodation room.

Guests with Tattoos

You cannot use the shared indoor hot spring baths, open-air baths, or saunas if you have tattoos.

Facilities

Il Camino Lounge stands beside the main entrance and includes a fireplace used during winter, books, sightseeing information, free Wi-Fi, and comfortable seating. A self-service wine dispenser offers selections recommended by the hotel sommelier from eight Yamanashi wineries.

Sierra Terrace faces the inner courtyard and gives you a pleasant place to sit during the morning. Complimentary morning coffee is served there from 6:30 to 8:00, and the early light across the basin makes it worth getting up before breakfast.

Shop Vino sells Yamanashi wine, fruit products, local souvenirs, accessories, and selected Fujiya Hotel items. A coin laundry with washing machines and dryers is available on the first basement level.

For further relaxation, you can reserve treatments at the Consolare esthetic salon or arrange an in-room massage. The building also includes a fourth-floor smoking room, elevators, wedding spaces, and photography and clothing services for celebrations.

The Grand Hall can accommodate up to 500 people. Smaller banquet rooms, Japanese dining rooms, and meeting spaces support celebrations, conferences, training sessions, and private meals.

Free parking is available for up to 100 cars. EV charging equipment is also installed, with separate operating conditions depending on the charger.

Activities

Step directly into Fuefukigawa Fruit Park, where you can walk among fruit trees, lawns, flower beds, greenhouses, and viewing areas. The park also includes play equipment, food outlets, shops, and a dog run.

Fruit-picking farms around Yamanashi offer changing experiences throughout the year. Depending on the season, you can pick strawberries, cherries, peaches, or grapes. Growing periods and availability change with the weather, so each visit brings a different taste of the region.

Visit wineries around Katsunuma and Yamanashi City to learn about Koshu grapes and local winemaking. Tastings, cellar visits, vineyard tours, and shops differ between wineries and may require reservations.

For a nature outing, travel towards Nishizawa Gorge for forest walks, waterfalls, and clear mountain streams. You can also take a longer drive towards Lake Kawaguchi, the Fuji Five Lakes, Arakurayama Sengen Park, or the Mount Fuji Panorama Ropeway.

You can spend a slower day inside the park, enjoy a seasonal parfait, sample Yamanashi wine in the lounge, and return to the open-air bath after the city lights appear below.

Additional Features

Check-in begins at 15:00, and check-out is by 11:00. JR Yamanashishi Station is around seven minutes away by taxi.

The drive from Katsunuma Interchange takes around 30 minutes, while the journey from Ichinomiya-Misaka Interchange takes around 25 minutes under normal conditions.

Your stay includes access to natural indoor and open-air hot spring baths, a low-temperature sauna, free in-room Wi-Fi, complimentary parking, Il Camino Lounge, Sierra Terrace, and the neighbouring fruit park. All accommodation rooms are non-smoking, with smoking limited to the designated fourth-floor room.
