Overview
Hotel Route-Inn Kawaguchiko gives you a practical lakeside base for exploring Lake Kawaguchi, Mount Fuji, Fuji-Q Highland, and the wider Fuji Five Lakes area. You stay close to the lake, with natural hot spring bathing on the top floor and selected rooms facing both Mount Fuji and Lake Kawaguchi.
This property works well when you want simple comfort, easy car access, breakfast, an evening restaurant, and a hot spring bath with one of the area’s most iconic views. After a day of sightseeing, hiking, theme-park time, or seasonal events, you can return to a warm bath, a relaxed room, and a clear plan for the next morning.
Accommodation
You can choose from double, casual twin, twin, and single room types. Rooms on the Mount Fuji and Lake Kawaguchi side give you the clearest view, while rooms on the opposite side offer a simpler stay without lake or mountain views. The twin rooms on the lake and Mount Fuji side are the strongest choice when the view matters most.
The double rooms and casual twin rooms are compact and face away from Mount Fuji and Lake Kawaguchi. The standard twin rooms give you more space, with either the lake and Mount Fuji view or the opposite-side layout. The single room is also on the opposite side and is available by direct arrangement.
Your room includes Wi-Fi, wired internet, a television with WOWOW, a humidifying air purifier, refrigerator, kettle, unit bath, towels, roomwear, and basic bath items. You can also check the crowd level of the large bath, breakfast venue, and coin laundry from your room television, helping you choose a smoother time to use each space.
Dining
Breakfast is served at Hanachaya as a Japanese and Western buffet. You can enjoy rice, bread, warm dishes, and daily European-style bread options, giving you an easy start before sightseeing or travel.
Dinner is also served at Hanachaya. The evening meal is usually buffet style, with options that let you eat casually inside the hotel. Depending on the number of reservations and daily conditions, dinner service may change to a set meal or à la carte style. Seasonal extras such as crab buffet options and drink plans may also be available by advance request.
Onsen and Wellness
The sixth-floor natural hot spring bath, Reisui no Yu, uses one of the five hot spring sources of Fuji Kawaguchiko Onsenkyo. From the top-floor bath, you can look out over Lake Kawaguchi with Mount Fuji beyond it, giving you a strong sense of place while you soak.
The large baths are gender-separated and open from 15:00 to 2:00, then again from 5:00 to 10:00. The view changes through the day, from morning light to evening sky and night scenery, so you may want to bathe more than once during your stay.
The hot spring is associated with relief from neuralgia and muscle pain. The bath area includes shampoo, conditioner, body soap, skin-care items, hair dryers, and grooming items. A small private bath is also available during set evening hours, with same-day request after arrival.
Guests with Tattoos
Hotel Route-Inn Kawaguchiko has shared public hot spring baths. Tattoos must be fully covered with a cover sticker before using these bathing areas. If your tattoo cannot be fully covered, you cannot use the shared public baths.
