Overview
Ito Villa -TOKI-, officially Resort Hotel Ito Sanso -TOKI-, gives you a quiet ocean-view stay in Izu-Kogen, Ito, Shizuoka. You stay in a small resort hotel with eight rooms, each offering a spacious layout from 44.8 to 73.5 square metres. The property sits in Yawatano, about five minutes by taxi from Izu-Kogen Station, with views towards Sagami Bay and Izu Oshima from selected rooms.
This is not a formal ryokan with in-room kaiseki and shared public baths. You come here for wide rooms, private-use natural hot spring baths, Izu seafood dining, quiet time on the terrace, and easy access to the coast, Mount Omuro, and the Izu-Kogen area.
The hotel focuses on simple comfort and a relaxed pace. You can soak in one of two private-use hot spring baths, enjoy kinmedai shabu-shabu at dinner when included in your plan, choose a Japanese or Western breakfast when arranged in advance, or spend the evening on the terrace when the fire-pit service is running.
Accommodation
Ito Villa -TOKI- has eight rooms, with Western, Japanese, Japanese-Western, suite, and large-group layouts. All rooms are non-smoking, and the room sizes give you more space than a standard hotel room.
Room 101 is a 44.8-square-metre double room for one or two people. It has one double bed and a private shower room, making it a simple choice when you want a quiet Western-style room with enough space to relax.
Room 102 is a 44.8-square-metre Japanese-Western room on the first floor. It has one queen bed and futon bedding, with views towards Sagami Bay and Izu Oshima. The Japanese area can be separated with sliding doors, which works well when you want a little more privacy inside the same room.
Room 103 is a 73.5-square-metre junior suite-style Japanese-Western room. It has one double bed and futon bedding, giving you space for a family or small group. This room includes a kitchen area in current accommodation listings, making it useful when you want more room to settle in.
Room 201 is a 44.8-square-metre Japanese-style room on the second floor. It uses futon bedding and suits families or groups who prefer a tatami room. Room 202 is a 44.8-square-metre triple room with one double bed and two semi-double beds, plus a living area for relaxing between outings.
Room 203 is a 44.8-square-metre ocean-view Japanese-Western room. It has one king bed and futon bedding, and from late autumn to around March you may see the sunrise over the sea. This room sits close to the hot spring bath area, which makes repeated bathing easier.
Room 205 is a 67.2-square-metre corner suite on the second floor. It is the hotel’s highest-grade room type, with twin beds and futon bedding. Current accommodation listings also show a kitchen and massage chair in this room.
Room 206 is a 73.5-square-metre large hall for groups. It can sleep up to 15 people, with an additional separate room for two people. This room works for training camps, retreats, large families, and group stays. It has a toilet and washbasin, but no private bath or shower.
Room equipment differs by category, but may include Wi-Fi, television, refrigerator, electric kettle, hairdryer, toilet, washbasin, shower room or unit bath, and seating space. Futon bedding in Japanese areas is prepared by you, not by the hotel team.
Dining
Dining focuses on Izu ingredients and a relaxed bistronomy style. Dinner highlights the hotel’s signature kinmedai shabu-shabu. Kinmedai, or golden-eye snapper, is closely connected with Izu seafood, and the shabu-shabu style lets you enjoy its rich flavour and soft texture.
The dinner course includes appetisers, a small dish from the hotel, a main dish, rice or meal course, and dessert. Optional seafood dishes, such as sashimi boat-style presentation or simmered kinmedai, can be arranged in advance when available. Dinner is served at 6:00 p.m. or 7:00 p.m., and late arrival after 7:00 p.m. may affect meal service.
Breakfast can be arranged in advance and comes in Japanese or Western style. The Japanese breakfast focuses on local dried fish, while the Western plate is a continental-style breakfast. Breakfast is usually served at 7:30 a.m. or 8:30 a.m., with limited capacity.
For larger groups or full-property use, meal arrangements can include BBQ, buffet-style meals, set meals, or all-inclusive-style plans by arrangement. This is best suited to retreats, training camps, reunions, and group stays.
Food allergies and religious dietary restrictions need advance discussion. The kitchen uses shared equipment and prepares different foods in the same space, so complete allergen removal cannot be guaranteed. Severe or wide-ranging allergies may not be accepted for safety reasons.
Onsen and Wellness
Ito Villa -TOKI- has two private-use natural hot spring baths named Tsubaki no Yu and Momiji no Yu. These are not in-room baths. You use them as private baths when they are available, so you can bathe with your partner, family, or travel group without sharing the bath with another booking.
The baths use natural Izu hot spring water. Bathing hours are from 3:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. and from 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. Each use is limited to one hour, and you can use the baths more than once during your stay when they are available.
Advance reservations are not taken for the private-use baths. You check availability and enter when a bath is open. This keeps the system simple, especially in a small hotel with only eight rooms.
The property does not have a large shared public bath, sauna, or in-room hot spring bath. The wellness experience centres on the two private-use natural hot spring baths, the quiet setting, and time spent resting between sightseeing and meals.
Guests with Tattoos
You can use the hot spring baths if you have tattoos. Tsubaki no Yu and Momiji no Yu are private-use baths, and Ito Villa -TOKI- does not have shared public bathing facilities.
Facilities
Ito Villa -TOKI- includes two private-use natural hot spring baths, a lobby, welcome drink bar, piano, terrace, tea room for Chinese-style tea use, vending machine, Wi-Fi, and parking. The property also has a quiet shared atmosphere suited to reading, relaxing, and spending time between baths and meals.
The terrace is used for seasonal outdoor time. From late November, the hotel has offered evening fire-pit and stargazing time on the terrace, usually after dinner when weather allows. The fire, night air, and clear Izu sky add a warm outdoor moment to the stay.
Parking is available in two areas, with three spaces at the main car park and more spaces nearby. One parking space is prepared per room, and advance notice is needed when you arrive with more than one vehicle. EV charging is also available.
The property is fully non-smoking indoors. Smoking is limited to the designated outdoor area. Pets cannot stay.
Activities
You can spend your stay quietly at the hotel by enjoying the private-use hot spring baths, terrace, lounge atmosphere, and meals. The small-room count makes the stay feel calm, and the wide rooms give you space to rest after a day outside.
Izu-Kogen gives you easy access to Ito’s coast and volcanic scenery. Mount Omuro is one of the area’s landmark sights, and you can ride the chairlift to the top for wide views over the Izu Peninsula, Sagami Bay, and, on clear days, Mount Fuji. Jogasaki Coast offers dramatic lava-rock scenery, sea views, walking paths, and the famous suspension-bridge area.
You can also visit local cafés, museums, art spaces, coastal viewpoints, and flower spots around Izu-Kogen. A car makes movement easiest, but Izu-Kogen Station is close enough for taxi access.
For group stays, the large room and full-property rental option can support hiking groups, cycling groups, training camps, business retreats, reunions, and larger family trips. The whole property can accommodate up to 30 people when arranged as a full rental.
Additional Features
Check-in is from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., and check-out is by 10:00 a.m. If you include dinner, arrive in time for the evening meal. The front desk may not be staffed late at night.
From Izu-Kogen Station, the hotel is about five minutes by taxi or around 25 minutes on foot. Walking after dark can be difficult because the area has limited lighting, so a taxi is easier when you arrive with luggage. Shuttle service is currently limited and tied to two-meal plans on the official site, while some booking sites show it as suspended, so plan station access by taxi unless transfer details are already included in your stay.
By car, the hotel is about one and a half hours from Seisho Ishibashi Interchange or Numazu Interchange, depending on traffic and route. Ito Villa -TOKI- suits you when you want large rooms, private-use natural hot spring baths, Izu seafood, terrace time, and a quiet base near the main sights of Izu-Kogen.
