Each guest room at Momijiya Annex is unique, and you have a great range to pick from. The Tokidori room features 8 tatami mats and twin beds, along with a private open-air bath overlooking the Kiyotaki River. Other options include rooms with private baths made of Shigaraki ware or local cypress and Kitayama cedar.
Rooms like “Annex Yamato” and “Annex Kamo” feature larger spaces with 10 tatami mats and tranquil garden views.
Dining
Momijiya Annex is renowned for its seasonal mountain village cuisine, served on the open-air riverside terrace from April to October. Spring meals feature fresh wild vegetables, while summer brings refreshing dishes like charcoal-grilled sweetfish. In autumn, you can enjoy matsutake mushrooms, and in winter, hot pot dishes such as wild boar stew are available.

Though none of the baths at Momijiya are natural hot springs, the ryokan provides a luxurious bathing experience. While none of the baths are hot springs, there are no restrictions on guests with tattoos using the private or shared baths.
