Overview

Noël Hakone Fuji is a private villa in the mountains of Hakone, with wide views of Lake Ashi, Mount Fuji, Hakone Shrine’s torii gate, and the sightseeing pirate ships on the lake. You stay in a fully renovated retreat designed for one group at a time, so the whole space belongs to you during your stay.

This is not a traditional ryokan with staff service, kaiseki dining, or shared public baths. It is a whole-house rental where you enjoy privacy, self-catering, BBQ, sauna time, a jacuzzi, and a private semi-natural artificial hot spring bath.

The villa suits you when you want a quiet Hakone stay with strong views, a spacious wooden deck, a full kitchen, simple indoor comfort, and easy access to sightseeing around Lake Ashi and the wider Hakone area.

Accommodation

You rent the entire villa, giving you full access to the rooms, deck, bath area, kitchen, living space, and other facilities. The total space is 182.09㎡, including 102.09㎡ of indoor space, a 20㎡ loft, a 30㎡ first-floor deck, and a 30㎡ second-floor deck.

The villa accommodates up to 8 people. Bedroom 1 has two semi-double beds, Bedroom 2 has two semi-double beds, and the loft has four futons. This layout works well for families, friends, or two smaller groups traveling together.

The living room includes a low sofa, side table, TV, and board games. Large windows frame Lake Ashi, Mount Fuji, the torii gate, and the lake scenery, so the view becomes part of your stay from morning to evening.

The interior uses wood finishes and a warm villa style. Multiple power outlets are available in the rooms, making it easy to charge phones, cameras, laptops, and other devices during a group stay.

Dining

Dining is self-catered. Noël Hakone Fuji does not provide meal service, so you bring your own ingredients and cook at your own pace.

The kitchen includes an induction cooktop, refrigerator, BALMUDA microwave, electric kettle, rice cooker, tabletop induction cooktop, pots, pans, knives, cutting boards, cooking chopsticks, and other cooking tools. This makes it easy to prepare simple breakfasts, group dinners, or late-night snacks.

The wooden deck has a gas BBQ grill, infinity chairs, bench seating, and lanterns. You do not need charcoal or firewood for the grill. BBQ use is available until 21:00.

You bring your own ingredients and seasonings for BBQ. A small amount of basic seasoning may be available, but it is best to prepare what you need before arrival.

Onsen and Wellness

Noël Hakone Fuji gives you a private bath experience inside the villa. The bathroom has a hinoki cypress bath and a semi-natural artificial hot spring system. You also have a shower, separate sink, shampoo, conditioner, and body soap.

Outside, you can use the barrel sauna and jacuzzi. After sauna time, you can cool down, sit on the deck, or relax under the open sky. In winter, the sauna may feel more like a low-temperature sauna because of the cold outdoor air.

The combination of bath, sauna, jacuzzi, deck seating, and lake views makes the villa especially suited to slow evenings after sightseeing.

Guests with tattoos

You use the bath, sauna, and jacuzzi privately with your own group. You do not need to enter a shared public bath, so tattoos do not create the same concern as they might in a public onsen.

Facilities

The property includes shared spaces designed for quiet use rather than activity. You relax in lounges with views of the surrounding greenery, read, or simply sit without obligation. Pathways around the building invite short walks that help you reset between meals and bathing sessions.

Practical facilities support a smooth stay. Storage areas, clear signage, and attentive staff help you move through the ryokan without confusion. Everything functions as expected, allowing you to focus on rest instead of logistics.

Activities

You can spend your stay slowly inside the villa, moving between the deck, kitchen, living room, bath, sauna, and jacuzzi. A simple day might begin with coffee and the Lake Ashi view, continue with sightseeing, then end with BBQ and a private bath.

The villa also works well as a base for Hakone sightseeing. Hakone Ropeway, Gora Park, Hakone Yumoto Onsen, Hakone Open-Air Museum, and Mishima Skywalk are all reachable by car. Lake Ashi, Hakone Shrine, the sightseeing cruise area, and the lake-view routes around Hakone are also natural fits for a stay here.

Additional features

  • You enjoy attentive service that respects personal space
  • Meals emphasize seasonality and balance
  • Some rooms include private baths
  • The setting supports quiet stays and restorative routines
  • Access to Hakone sights remains convenient while evenings stay calm

A stay at Noël Hakone Fuji centers on rest, food, and water. You slow down, breathe deeply, and leave with a clear sense of renewal shaped by the mountains around you.
