Overview
THE FARM is a farm resort in Katori, Chiba, set across wide farmland with glamping tents, cottages, HABITA stays, campsites, restaurants, BBQ areas, farm activities, and a natural hot spring facility. You stay in open countryside, surrounded by fields, sky, trees, and the slow rhythm of the land.
The resort sits within easy reach of Narita Airport by car, but the mood changes as soon as you arrive. Instead of city noise, you get farm paths, seasonal vegetables, outdoor activities, BBQ, hot spring bathing, and time spent under the open sky.
Accommodation
You choose from glamping, cottages, HABITA, and the farm campsite. Each stay style gives you a different way to enjoy the resort, from outdoor-focused camping to more private cottage stays.
The glamping area is one of the main highlights. It has seven tent types, each designed with its own layout and atmosphere. Some tents suit couples, while larger types work well for families or small groups. Family Suite tents can sleep up to five people, making them useful when you want the feeling of camping with more space and prepared equipment.
Cottages give you a more private stay surrounded by fields and greenery. You can choose from different cottage styles, including cottages with decks facing the farm, dog-friendly cottages, cottages with barrel saunas, and larger two-story cottages. This is a good option when you want indoor comfort, more privacy, and easier movement between your room, meals, and the hot spring.
HABITA offers a freer cottage-style stay. It works well when you want to plan your own time, bring more of your own rhythm into the stay, and enjoy a simple base inside the resort.
The farm campsite gives you a more direct outdoor experience. Some plans include a tent and tarp already set up, plus tables, chairs, sleeping bags, and cutlery, so you can enjoy camping without bringing all your own gear. This works well when you want a simple camping experience inside a resort with access to food, activities, and the hot spring.
Dog-friendly stays are available in selected cottage options. These are for small dogs under 10 kg or medium dogs under 25 kg, with up to two dogs per room. Dogs need to be indoor dogs, at least 6 months old, and under your control during the stay. Some areas do not allow dogs, including indoor restaurant spaces, farm areas, tents, some management buildings, and the hot spring facility.
Dining
Dining at THE FARM centers on fresh vegetables, local ingredients, BBQ, café meals, and relaxed outdoor food. The resort grows around 60 crops and 100 kinds of vegetables through the year, so the food experience stays closely connected to the farm.
THE FARM Café serves meals made with fresh farm vegetables and local ingredients. You can enjoy lunch, desserts, and drinks in a bright space with a deck terrace. Dogs are welcome on the terrace, and pet food is also available.
Breakfast for overnight stays may be served buffet-style at THE FARM Café, depending on your plan. The breakfast buffet uses farm vegetables and local ingredients, giving you a fresh start before farm activities, the hot spring, or a slow day outside.
BBQ is another major part of the stay. The BBQ area is roofed, has kitchen space, and uses proper grills, so you can enjoy outdoor cooking without worrying too much about weather. BBQ courses may include farm vegetables, steak, and other ingredients prepared for easy grilling. You can also use BBQ as a day-visit experience.
Inside Ofuro Café Karin no Yu, The Farm Shokudo serves meals using vegetables and fruits from the resort. This gives you another dining option after bathing or sauna time.
THE FARM BASE opened in 2026 as a new food-focused area where you can enjoy farm vegetables, baked goods, local foods, and selected items from the Katori area.
Onsen and Wellness
Your hot spring experience takes place at Ofuro Café Karin no Yu, the natural hot spring and sauna facility inside THE FARM. Overnight stays include access during opening hours, so you can bathe after outdoor activities, BBQ, or a day spent around the farm.
The hot spring water is pumped from 1,500 meters underground and adjusted to around 41°C. The water is an iron, iodine, sodium chloride strong salt spring. It also contains metasilicic acid, which is often linked with a soft, moisturizing feel on the skin.
You can enjoy indoor baths, open-air bathing, barrel saunas, water baths, and sauna spaces. The outdoor area includes self-löyly barrel saunas for men and women, plus a Finnish-style sauna and water baths. The sauna garden allows men and women to enjoy sauna time together when wearing swimwear or facility wear.
The hot spring facility is more than a bathhouse. You can spend time reading, resting, eating, using the sauna, or relaxing in the café-style lounge spaces. This makes it a natural place to slow down between farm activities and your accommodation.
Guests with tattoos
Ofuro Café Karin no Yu now has Tattoo Friendly Time from 21:00 to 24:00. During this time, you can use the hot spring and sauna with tattoos.
Outside this time, do not assume tattoos are accepted.
