Overview
Ooedo Onsen Monogatari Wanwan Resort Nishiizu gives you an oceanfront hot spring stay in Toi Onsen, on the western side of the Izu Peninsula. You stay right by the sea, with Suruga Bay in front of you and the sound of the waves shaping the mood from morning to night.
This property was formerly Toi Marine Hotel and now operates as a dog-friendly resort where you can stay with your dog throughout the property. You can relax in an ocean-facing hot spring bath, enjoy buffet dining, spend time in the dog lounge, use the indoor and outdoor dog runs, and walk by the coast when the weather feels right.
The location works well when you want sea views, sunset scenery, hot spring bathing, and easy time with your dog in one place. You can spend the day slowly inside the hotel, or use it as a base for exploring Nishi-Izu, Toi, Dogashima, and nearby coastal sights.
Accommodation
You choose from Japanese-style rooms, Japanese-Western rooms, twin rooms, economy rooms, superior rooms, and rooms with stronger sea-view appeal. Some rooms face the sea, while others face the mountain side, so choose your room type carefully when the view matters to you.
Standard Japanese rooms include options such as 10-tatami and 12-tatami layouts on the sea side, plus smaller mountain-side rooms. These rooms give you tatami flooring, space to sit and rest, and a more classic hot spring hotel feel.
Japanese-Western rooms combine tatami space with twin beds, making them useful when you want both floor seating and easier sleeping. Some Japanese-Western rooms face the sea, while others face the mountain side.
Superior room options include sea-side Japanese-Western rooms, top-floor Japanese-Western rooms, sea-view Japanese rooms with an indoor bath, and a superior Japanese room with a hot spring open-air bath. This room type works well when you want more privacy and the chance to enjoy bathing in your own space.
All rooms allow stays with dogs. After the renewal, the rooms were prepared for dog travel, with dog-friendly flooring updates in stages, air-cleaning and deodorizing equipment, and useful dog-care items. You can stay in the room with your dog, relax after meals, and enjoy the coastal setting together.
Dining
Dinner and breakfast are served buffet-style. You can enjoy your meals with your dog, which makes the stay easier when you do not want to leave your dog alone in the room.
Dinner brings together seafood, grilled dishes, meat dishes, local flavors, and seasonal items. The live kitchen adds energy to the meal, with hot dishes served freshly from the counter. Dinner highlights include seafood beach-style grilling with shrimp, scallops, and squid, plus sirloin steak. Local dishes such as fried horse mackerel and Shizuoka black hanpen bring a clear Shizuoka and Izu flavor to the table.
The dinner buffet includes around 70 dishes, while breakfast includes around 65 dishes. Breakfast may include the Ooedo Onsen Monogatari-style nokke-don, salt bonito broth udon, French toast, grilled fish, and other Japanese and Western options.
Soft drinks are included with the buffet, and alcoholic drinks are available separately. Dog meals can also be ordered, including items made with Shizuoka Ashitaka beef, such as hamburger steak, steak, and a beef WAN burger, plus sweets for dogs such as sweet potato and soy milk Mont Blanc.
