Overview

Glamping Izu Coco gives you a private glamping stay in Ito, Shizuoka, with wide views over Sagami Bay, natural hot spring bathing, BBQ, starry skies, and a quiet setting between the sea and mountains. You stay on the grounds of Yokohama Fujiyoshi Izu, at 1305-1 Futo, Ito City, with easy access to the Izu Kogen area.

The stay is built around privacy and outdoor comfort. You sleep in a bell tent or dome tent, enjoy meals on your own wood deck, use private hot spring baths, and spend the evening watching the sky, grilling dinner, or relaxing with the sea below you. All accommodation plans include private-use access to the hot springs, so bathing becomes part of the stay, not an extra stop on your schedule.

Accommodation

You choose from six tents, each with its own style, view, toilet, shower, air-conditioning, heating, Wi-Fi, humidifier, air purifier, private deck, and smart lock. The setup lets you enjoy nature while keeping your stay easy and private.

Bell Tent A and Bell Tent B use 5-meter Lotus Belle tents with a compact 25.6㎡ layout. Each tent has two single beds and a private wood deck. These tents suit you well when you want a more classic camping feel, a smaller space, and a quiet atmosphere.

Dome Tent C and Dome Tent D are larger 7-meter dome tents with 44.5㎡ of space and four single beds. These tents give you more room to relax indoors, plus large windows that bring the view into the room. Each has a private wood deck and a 100-inch projector, making the space feel fun for evenings after BBQ and bathing.

Dome Tent E is a 6-meter dome tent with 28.2㎡ of space and an attached trailer house. It includes two single beds in the dome tent and simple beds in the trailer house. This is the dog-friendly tent, with an attached dog run, so you can stay with a small or medium-sized dog.

Dome Tent F is also a 6-meter dome tent with 28.2㎡ of space. It has two single beds, a private open-air bath for the room, and a playroom with darts and children’s ring toss. This tent works especially well when you want extra privacy, more play space, and your own bath area close to the room.

Tent amenities include hand towels, tea bags, toothbrush set, razor, cotton swabs, hair band, comb, and small shampoo and conditioner packs. Each tent also has basic camping and cutlery items, and a multi-device charging cable is prepared in the room.

Dining

Dinner is a BBQ meal served on the private wood deck beside your tent. The deck has rain protection, so you can still enjoy the meal when the weather changes. Dinner usually runs from 17:00 to 20:00, with ingredients delivered to each tent in order.

The BBQ menu includes appetizers, Ashitaka beef sirloin, bone-in frank sausage, chicken, whelk skewers, octopus skewers, turban shell, large shrimp, scallops in the shell, seasonal vegetables, Anno sweet potato, cheese ajillo, baguette, grilled rice balls, and desserts. The menu may change depending on the season and ingredient supply.

You can use the Spice Box during your stay, with selected spices and seasonings for your BBQ. This lets you adjust flavors without packing your own full seasoning kit.

Breakfast is delivered to your tent in the morning, usually between 7:30 and 8:00. It includes selected breads, daily salad, daily soup, bacon and eggs, dessert, and juice. The serving method and menu may change by season.

You can bring your own food and drinks. Alcohol can be purchased only in advance through the reservation page, and same-day alcohol sales are not available on site. Soft drink vending machines are available, and the room refrigerator includes a small welcome drink selection.

If you have severe food allergies or need allergen removal, you should bring your own food. The facility does not handle severe allergy requests, allergen removal, or ingredient changes.

Onsen and Wellness

Hot spring bathing is a major part of the stay. The hot spring rises from 1,200 meters underground on the grounds and is used as free-flowing natural spring water. You can use the private hot spring baths at Yokohama Fujiyoshi Izu, located within the same grounds. Six private baths are free to use when available, while Nagomi no Yu requires a reservation and is the only paid private bath.

Shin-Sagami no Yu has three tubs: a large open-air bath with a wide view over Sagami Bay and two jar baths. Megami no Yu is designed for slow bathing with family or friends. Shunkashuto no Yu has four rock baths, each with a slightly different angle toward Sagami Bay. Nagomi no Yu is available from evening until 22:00 and again from 6:00 in the morning, with reservation handled at the Yokohama Fujiyoshi reception.

The spring name is Tsushima Onsen, Tsushima No. 59. The water is a calcium-sodium sulfate spring, described as hypotonic, weakly alkaline, and high temperature. It is almost colorless, clear, tasteless, and odorless. The source temperature is 48.6°C at the spring mouth, with a flow volume of 158 liters per minute. Listed benefits include skin concerns, arteriosclerosis, neuralgia, muscle pain, cold sensitivity, bruises, sprains, cuts, and fatigue recovery.

Your tent also has its own shower and toilet, available at any time without an extra charge. This makes the stay easy before and after bathing, especially at night or in the morning.

Guests with tattoos

You can use the private hot spring baths regardless of tattoos, since all bathing is reserved for private use.

Facilities

The entire facility focuses on privacy and ease. Clear signage, a simple layout, and direct access paths help you move around comfortably, even at night. Staff support remains available when needed, but the overall setup encourages independence.

Fireworks are permitted during designated periods, allowing you to enjoy a seasonal activity in a controlled setting. A constellation finder on-site helps you explore the night sky, adding a quiet and educational moment to your evening.

Activities

You spend your time here doing as much or as little as you like. Some evenings revolve around BBQ, hot springs, and long conversations on the deck. Other moments invite you to gaze at the stars, walk the grounds, or simply sit and watch the sea.

During the day, you can explore nearby Izu and Ito sightseeing areas, then return in time for sunset. The elevated location gives you a clear view of the changing light, making even quiet moments feel special.

Travelers staying multiple nights often find a steady rhythm: soak, eat well, rest deeply, and repeat.

Additional features

All accommodation plans include private hot spring access, so you do not need to choose between comfort levels. Pricing adjusts by season, tent type, and group size, with reduced rates for children and free stays for very young ones.

Check-in procedures remain straightforward, and advance information explains every step clearly. Media features and coverage reflect the growing reputation of the facility, but the atmosphere on-site stays calm and focused on individual stays.

You choose Glamping Izu Coco when you want open views, private hot springs, and outdoor living without inconvenience. Every element supports a stay where nature leads, comfort follows, and time feels unhurried.
