Motoyu Kosenkaku is a beautiful Japanese ryokan located on a peaceful hill in Arima Onsen, offering breathtaking views of the Tanba Mountains. This place is famous for its friendly people and has many different places to stay, like rooms, suites, and private lodges.

Accommodation

Kosenkaku offers a range of room types:

• 8 Tatami Mats Japanese-Style Room: A traditional Japanese room with forest views, located on the higher floors for great vistas. Includes a bathroom and wash-type toilet.
• 10 Tatami Mats Japanese-Style Room: Spacious enough for up to four guests, perfect for families or groups.
• Suite Room: Offering 89–98m² of space, this luxurious suite includes a bedroom with Airweave beds, a living and dining area, and a panoramic view of the Tanba mountains.
• Family Suite: With a capacity for six guests, this 80–90m² room is ideal for families or groups, featuring a connecting bedroom and living area.

All rooms are non-smoking, and amenities include Wi-Fi, toiletries, yukata, and more.

Dining

• Kaiseki Cuisine: Seasonal ingredients prepared in a traditional multi-course style, served either in the guest’s room or the dining hall.
• Western Cuisine: Enjoy a fine dining experience at “La Fontaine,” where fresh local ingredients are used to create heartwarming Western-style meals.
• Vegetarian Kaiseki: Available at “Keigetsu,” this course meal is based on Buddhist teachings and focuses on natural, plant-based ingredients (currently unavailable).

Onsen & Wellness

Kosenkaku is known for its Kinsen (golden spring) baths, featuring high iron content that turns reddish-brown when exposed to air. This hot spring is effective for neuralgia, fatigue recovery, and poor circulation.

Rock Bath: A traditional stone bath with a flowing Kinsen hot spring.

Hakkakudo Bath: A hinoki-wood bathhouse with large windows offering stunning views of the garden.

The baths are alternated between men and women, ensuring all guests enjoy the facilities.
