Overview

Arima Gyoen was established in 1946 and is located in the heart of the historic Arima Onsen. It offers two unique types of hot springs, Kinsen (golden) and Ginsen (silver). The ryokan also provides easy access to the natural beauty of Mt. Rokko and nearby sightseeing spots.

Accommodation

Arima Gyoen has a variety of rooms in the Main Building, Annex, and Fuyo Sanso. Options range from Japanese-style rooms to deluxe Japanese-Western rooms, many with scenic views. For an extra special stay, Fuyo Sanso offers rooms with private open-air Ginsen baths, perfect for a quiet and luxurious experience. All rooms come with traditional comforts like tatami mats and yukata, and complimentary Wi-Fi is available throughout the property.

Dining

Savor Kobe Beef at a designated registered store, where you can enjoy exquisite Kaiseki cuisine featuring local and seasonal ingredients. Meals can be served in your private room for a peaceful dining experience, or in the banquet hall. Signature dishes include Kobe beef shabu-shabu, steak, and a wide selection of Japanese hotpot courses. Special arrangements like birthday cakes and celebratory meals can also be arranged.

Onsen & Wellness

The ryokan boasts access to both Kinsen, known for its iron-rich, reddish waters that warm the body, and Ginsen, a radon spring said to improve health and stimulate cell regeneration. You can enjoy these unique springs in both indoor and outdoor settings, with private open-air baths available in select rooms. Day-use hot spring options are also offered, with facilities including rock baths and cypress open-air baths.

Guests with Tattoos

If you have tattoos, you will need to book a room with a private onsen.

Facilities

The ryokan offers a range of amenities including a shop, large banquet halls, a relaxation salon, and private karaoke rooms. There is also a lounge for relaxing after a bath, vending machines, and a dedicated souvenir shop offering local Arima specialties. Women can receive aesthetic treatments and full-body massages in the salon, with appointments required.

Activities

Explore the charming Arima Onsen area by walking to nearby landmarks such as Taiko Bridge, Onsenji Temple, or the Arima Toy Museum. For a scenic adventure, take the Rokko-Arima Ropeway up Mt. Rokko. For those who prefer to stay in, the ryokan provides games like Hanafuda and playing cards, and you can also relax with a drink at the karaoke lounge.
