Overview
Ichinoyu is a well-loved ryokan in the Hakone area, known for its great hot springs, comfortable rooms, and traditional Japanese charm. The Susukinohara Ichinoyu is located close to Hakone’s popular Susuki-no-hara, making it the perfect base for exploring the beautiful surroundings. Every room has its own open-air bath, so you can soak in the hot springs whenever you like, right in the comfort of your room.
Accommodation
At Susukinohara Ichinoyu, all rooms come with their own private open-air baths, giving you the chance to relax in hot spring water whenever you want. The rooms are designed to be both traditional and welcoming, with tatami mats and simple decor that helps you unwind after a day of exploring.
Dining
Susukinohara Ichinoyu serves creative Japanese cuisine that highlights fresh, local ingredients. You can choose from different meal plans, such as the popular sashimi set or a delicious sukiyaki dinner featuring Yonezawa beef, one of Japan’s top wagyu varieties. For breakfast, you can enjoy a traditional Japanese meal with freshly grilled fish or, at some locations, a breakfast buffet featuring a wide range of dishes. Vegetarian options are also available if you let them know in advance.
Onsen & Wellness
The hot springs at Susukinohara Ichinoyu offer a truly relaxing experience. There are both indoor and outdoor baths, with water sourced from Hakone’s famous Owakudani. The indoor baths feature alkaline water, great for your skin, while the outdoor baths are filled with acidic mineral water, perfect for relieving fatigue. You can enjoy the changing seasons while soaking in the open-air bath, from colorful autumn leaves to the crisp winter air.
Guests with Tattoos
Guests with tattoos can still use the baths at Ichinoyu, as long as the tattoos are covered with two cover stickers (8cm x 10cm). You can use the private onsen in your room for more comfort.
