The building uses repurposed timber from a 100-year-old farmhouse originally located in Toyama. These seasoned beams and pillars, once braving meters of winter snow, now form the warm heart of a ryokan that honors history while offering a refined, modern stay.

Onsen and Wellness

Every room at MURE Beppu includes a private hot spring bath filled with the ryokan’s signature “Golden Fortune Bath” (Kin’un no Yu). This mineral-rich spring oxidizes upon contact with air, creating a golden hue that’s as beautiful as it is beneficial.

Rooftop Private Baths – Tsuki-no-Yu and Sora-no-Yu

Book a private soak under the open sky. These rooftop baths use the same golden water as your room and offer panoramic views of the town and surrounding hills.

Guests with Tattoos

MURE Beppu does not have shared baths, and each room has a private onsen. Guests with tattoos can use the baths without restriction. However, for the rooftop baths, please inquire at check-in to confirm availability.
