Overview
Stay right in the heart of Beppu, one of Japan’s most famous hot spring towns. Nishitetsu Resort Inn Beppu puts you just a 10-minute walk from JR Beppu Station and right next to the Beppu Kitahama bus stop. You can explore Beppu’s unique “hells,” visit nearby attractions like Umitamago Aquarium or Rakutenchi Amusement Park, and come back to soak in a large hot spring bath sourced from Beppu’s natural springs.
The entire building, including all rooms and bathing areas, underwent renovations in 2014. With a great location, open-air baths, and a breakfast buffet filled with Oita specialties, this hotel helps you relax and recharge during your trip.
Accommodation
Choose from single, double, economy twin, or standard twin rooms, all equipped with Simmons beds to help you sleep soundly after a long day. Every room includes a flat-screen TV, refrigerator, electric kettle, air conditioning, and a private bathroom with a bath and hairdryer. You’ll also find Wi-Fi and a humidifying air purifier in every room. Slip into a comfortable yukata, sip green tea, and unwind at your own pace.
You can pick up additional amenities like razors, body towels, and cotton swabs from the amenity box at the front desk—free of charge.
Dining
Start your morning with a Japanese and Western buffet on the first floor. Enjoy local dishes like Nakatsu fried chicken, kamaage shirasu (boiled whitebait), fish croquettes, dumpling soup, and chicken rice. You’ll also find grilled fish, simmered dishes, fresh fruit, cereals, and drinks including coffee and soft drinks.
Onsen and Wellness
Soak in the large public bath or step outside into the open-air bath, surrounded by the relaxing scent of hinoki cypress. The hot spring water comes straight from Beppu’s famous thermal sources. Whether you’re relieving muscle tension, fatigue, or simply enjoying a warm soak, the baths offer a peaceful escape. They’re open from 3:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m. and again from 5:00 to 9:30 a.m.
Guests with Tattoos
If you have tattoos, you can use the hot spring baths, but only during the drop-in period from 3:00 to 4:30 p.m. Alternatively, please consult the front desk for guidance.
Facilities
Use one of three self-service kiosks in the lobby to check in or out quickly. The machines only accept cashless and prepaid methods. You’ll find vending machines, ice makers, microwaves, and a smoking room across various floors. The sixth floor has coin laundry machines available 24 hours a day.
For sightseeing, head to the Kamenoi Bus Center on the first floor. You can reserve local sightseeing tours like the popular “hell” circuit or long-distance buses to and from Oita Airport and Fukuoka.
