Accommodation

Your room at Mori no Yu Resort offers the spaciousness of a city hotel but with a calming natural view. All rooms are non-smoking and feature soft lighting, elegant interiors, and bedding designed for deep sleep. You can choose between two room types:

Superior Twin Room

Enjoy a spacious 25㎡ room with two Simmons beds (120cm x 200cm). Ideal for couples or friends. The room includes views of the surrounding hills and access to private indoor and outdoor baths exclusively for overnight guests.

Double Room

A 19㎡ room with a custom queen-size bed (160cm x 200cm) made of fine teak wood. Perfect for solo travelers or pairs who want extra room to stretch out.

Onsen and Wellness

Mori no Yu Resort offers two main bathing experiences, both filled with natural hot spring water from Beppu:

Public Bath – Teru no Yu

This bath is reserved for overnight guests and includes a large indoor bath and an open-air bath surrounded by trees. Gentle winds, mountain views, and spacious tubs help you relax both body and mind.

Hours: 3:00 PM – 1:00 AM / 5:00 AM – 10:00 AM

Free for hotel guests

Garden Bath – Sora no Yu

This unique outdoor bath lets you enjoy the hot springs in a swimsuit. You’ll find a variety of tubs scattered throughout a garden, each with a different theme.

Open to both hotel guests and day-use visitors

Hours: 10:00 AM – 10:00 PM (last entry 9:30 PM) Winter season hours: 3:00 PM – 9:00 PM (last entry 8:30 PM)

Entry fee: Free for overnight guests

Rental swimsuits available

Sora no Yu includes seven different baths:

• Bubble Bath (Jacuzzi) – Gentle bubbles massage your muscles and help you unwind.
• Scented Bath – Features seasonal aromas like yuzu or mint, perfect for relaxing your senses.
• Cool Bath – A refreshing cold tub to cool down after soaking in hot springs.
• Jigoku Bath – A high-temperature bath for those who enjoy a hotter soak.
• Foot Massage Bath – Pebbles in the bottom of the bath stimulate pressure points.
• Ougi Bath – Covered bath with views of Beppu’s lush Mount Ougi.
• Taki no Mori – A wide, main bath where a waterfall flows directly into the tub.

Guests with Tattoos

Please note that the resort restricts entry for anyone with tattoos in the shared bathing areas. If you have visible tattoos, consider a private room with bath.
