Accommodation

Togetsu offers a range of modern, stylish rooms with a focus on comfort. Each room features Simmons double-cushion beds, double pillows, and duvet-style bedding for a restful night’s sleep.

  • Standard Twin Room (26㎡): Includes two beds (1100Ă—2030mm), a shower room, and amenities like a 40-inch TV and air purifier.
  • Standard Double Room (20㎡): Comes with a queen-size bed (1600Ă—2030mm), 50-inch TV, and sleek, simple decor.
  • Superior Room (40㎡): Ideal for families or small groups with two semi-double beds, a sofa bed or extra bed, and enough space for up to four people.
  • Deluxe Room (53㎡): A spacious option with two semi-double beds, a parent-child bed, and a coffee machine. Accommodates up to four people.
  • Family Room (40㎡): Designed with families in mind, this room includes a parent-child bed and a sofa bed, also fitting up to four people.
  • Barrier-Free Room (40㎡): A fully accessible room with wide entryways and beds suited for easy movement and comfort.

Each room is non-smoking and comes equipped with a refrigerator, air purifier, humidifier, Wi-Fi, and eco-friendly amenities.

Dining

Togetsu’s restaurant, Akari, serves both dinner and breakfast buffets in a spacious, open dining room. For dinner, you can enjoy a premium Japanese-Western-Chinese buffet featuring:

  • Oita Wagyu steak and roast beef
  • Fresh sashimi from the Bungo Channel
  • Handmade sushi, tempura, and regional dishes

Dinner is available from 18:00 to 20:00, sometimes offered in two seatings depending on demand. The chefs prepare many dishes live in front of you for a fun and engaging dining experience.

Breakfast includes about 40 dishes, such as:

  • Fresh local vegetables and salads
  • Handmade omelets cooked in the live kitchen
  • Oita specialties like ryukyu (soy-marinated fish) and toriten (crispy chicken)
  • House-made curry with Oita Wagyu

Breakfast runs from 7:00 to 9:00, with a last entry at 8:30.

Onsen and Wellness

Togetsu offers you full access to Kannawa’s famous healing spring water, 100% naturally flowing into each bath. The large public baths include indoor tubs and saunas for both men and women. The water comes from a sulfur-rich spring known to soothe skin conditions and leave your body deeply relaxed.

  • Public Baths: Open from 5:00 to 9:00 and 15:00 to 24:00, including saunas and washing stations.
  • Open-Air Baths: Recently added outdoor baths let you soak under the sky while breathing in the fresh mountain air.
  • Family Baths: Three private onsen rooms are available for 50 minutes at a time for ÂĄ1,500. Check availability at the front desk.

During construction (see below), women can continue to use the indoor public bath on-site. Men will be taken by shuttle (about 1–2 minutes) to the nearby sister ryokan, Kurodaya, for their bathing needs.

Guests with Tattoos

If you have tattoos, you may still use the family baths, which are private and not shared with others. Please check with the front desk for reservations.

Renovation Notice

The hotel remains open during renovations. The construction includes lobby expansion, bathhouse upgrades, and a brand-new open-air bath.

  • May 25 – August 5, 2024: Lobby, public bath, sauna, showers, and women’s changing room renovation
  • September 1 – October 21, 2024: More upgrades to the public bath and installation of new outdoor baths

Male visitors will use the Kurodaya bathhouse via shuttle. Female visitors can continue using the on-site baths as usual.
