Dining

Choseikaku’s meals highlight the rich flavors of the San’in region. You’ll enjoy seasonal kaiseki dinners made with both mountain and ocean ingredients—like local seafood, premium Shimane Wagyu, and fresh vegetables from nearby farms.

Dinner

Each dish is prepared with care using house-made dashi broth and beautifully presented on seasonal plates. Meals are served in the main dining room “Yakumo” or in private rooms by request. The chef adjusts the menu monthly, so every visit brings something new.

Special Dishes

You can request additional dishes such as nodoguro (blackthroat seaperch), crab in winter, abalone, or premium beef. Cakes and celebration meals are also available with advance notice.

Breakfast

Enjoy a Japanese-Western buffet in the bright and lively “Izumo Dining Shuho.” Choose from a wide selection of fresh items, or request a Japanese set breakfast if you prefer something more traditional.

Onsen and Wellness

Choseikaku is proud to offer soft, silky water drawn from its own hot spring source. Rich in minerals and gentle on the skin, this water is also used to make the popular local skincare brand “Hime Labo.”

Unique Baths

Agate Bath

Agate stones—blue, red, and white—line the tubs in this signature bath, reflecting the local gemstone culture of Tamayu Town. Each color symbolizes health, passion, or safety, and the baths provide a one-of-a-kind experience.

“Shinwa no Yu” (Bath of Myth)

Inspired by the Yamata no Orochi legend, this bath includes an indoor tub with a sword-shaped centerpiece and a large open-air rock bath.

“Megami no Yu” (Bath of the Goddess)

Modeled after the sun goddess myth, this bath features bright agate tubs, a rock bath, and a peaceful open-air space.

Private Family Bath

Reserve your own bath for a quiet 45-minute soak. This option is available only to overnight guests.

Bath Hours

Evening: Check-in to 12:00 AM

Morning: 5:00 AM to 10:00 AM

The baths alternate between male and female access, so you can try both during your stay.

Guests with Tattoos

You can use the public baths at Choseikaku. However, if you prefer privacy, you can book the private family bath for a peaceful soak on your own terms.
