Accommodation

You’ll have a wonderful range of rooms to choose from, starting with the most luxurious options. If you’re dreaming of the ultimate stay, the open-air luxury suites with private baths are perfect. ITTEN SHIKAI is incredibly spacious at 135 square meters and opened in December 2022, along with SHIONE at 120 square meters and SUIGETSU at 119 square meters, both beautifully designed with fresh modern touches. KANON is another gorgeous option at 135 square meters, opened in July 2016, and KAZANE offers a cozy yet luxurious feel at 81 square meters.

If you prefer an open-air deluxe suite, you can go for the A Type which is very roomy at 134 square meters, or the B and C Types at 94 and 80 square meters, all opened in April 2007 with classic comfort and style. For something newer, YOI NO USAGI opened in December 2022 at 60 square meters, and NAMIOTO, SAIUN, TSUKISHIRO, and HOSHIUMI opened in December 2023, ranging from 55 to 65 square meters, each with its own peaceful vibe.

There are also open-air deluxe types like D1 and D2, both between 60 and 64 square meters and opened in April 2007, along with G Type at 61 square meters and I Type at 79 square meters which opened in July 2016, offering a nice blend of comfort and elegance.

For a simpler open-air suite experience, E Type is 55 square meters and opened in April 2007, while K, L, and M Types are each 53 square meters with a clean modern feel since opening in July 2010. If you like semi-open-air rooms, the N Type offers this at 53 square meters, or there’s the H Type semi-suite at 50 square meters which opened in April 2007.

For a special treat, the hot spring view bath suites RURI 401 and 402 opened just recently in July 2025, each at 59 square meters with relaxing views. There’s also an ocean-view modern Japanese-Western room at 53 square meters, opened in December 2021, perfect for watching the sunrise in comfort.

If an ocean-view open-air suite is what you want, the K, L, and M Types are ready to welcome you. For luxury standard ocean-view rooms, TASOGARE 508 and 408 are each 60 square meters, while AKATSUKI 507 and 407 are slightly cozier at 55 square meters, opened in November 2024. AMAMITSUKI is a wonderful choice if you love relaxing outdoors, as it has a deck terrace and is 67 square meters, opened in December 2023.

There are also luxury standard AOI rooms, with AOI 501 and 502 at 48 square meters each, newly opened in July 2025. If you’re looking for something premium yet compact, the new premium compact room is 64 square meters and non-smoking, opened in July 2023, or you can try the premium compact corner room from May 2016 at the same size.

For a more traditional feel, the ocean-view Ryukyu tatami Japanese room is 49 square meters, non-smoking, and opened in October 2022, while the ocean-view standard Japanese room is also 49 square meters and opened in May 2016. Lastly, if you prefer a street-side view with modern Japanese-Western design, there’s a 40 square meter non-smoking room opened in December 2021, offering simplicity and comfort during your stay.

Dining

For dinner, you can look forward to a rich selection of fresh seafood from Izu—including sashimi, abalone, kingfish head dishes, and special local delicacies all served in a symphonic course menu that refreshes every two months.

Signature dishes include simmered kinmedai (golden-eye snapper), Ise lobster creations, legendary abalone dishes, and irresistible food-and-sake pairings.

A special deluxe plan highlights local kinmedai.

The chef (Ueshima) pours heart into every plate, and you’ll learn about this deeper in “Chef’s Commitment.”

The breakfast continues the tradition: a legendary boat-style sashimi platter that started when the ryokan first opened.
