Miyazu Onsen

Miyazu, nestled in Kyoto Prefecture, is a picturesque onsens area that holds a wealth of history and natural allure. It is famed for its nearby Amanohashidate sandbar, often dubbed as one of Japan’s “Three Scenic Views.” This town also hosts a variety of hot springs, most of them fed by the underground waters of the region, renowned for their therapeutic minerals.

Its old town area, lined with traditional machiya houses, offers an authentic glimpse into the past. A visit to the Chion-ji temple, dedicated to the god of wisdom and intellect, is a must for any spiritual seeker.
