Overview

Arima Royal Hotel invites you to unwind in one of Japan’s oldest hot spring towns. Located in Arima Onsen, this ryokan lets you fully experience the healing waters of the famous Kinsen—the “Golden Spring”—known for its reddish hue and rich mineral content. With comfortable rooms, local cuisine, and relaxing baths, this is your place to slow down and refresh both body and mind.

Accommodation

Choose from a range of Japanese-style and suite rooms, including options with semi open-air or outdoor baths. Each room is designed to give you space to relax, whether you’re traveling alone, with a partner, or as a family.

Suite with Semi Open-Air Bath: Stretch out in a modern Japanese room with a low sofa in the living area and a rock-style bench in the bath. Windows open wide to give you fresh air and garden views. This bath uses standard water, not hot spring water.

Junior Suite with Semi Open-Air Bath: These updated rooms include wide-opening windows and seating for a family of four. Enjoy your own private time in the semi open-air bath. The bath does not use hot spring water.

Japanese Room with Open-Air Pottery Bath: These elegant rooms feature Ryukyu-style tatami and a handmade pottery bath. Large windows give you views of the surrounding nature. The bath water is not from the hot spring.

Fully Renovated Japanese Room with Open-Air Bath: This is the most popular room style at the ryokan. The open-air bath and spacious layout make it ideal for a couple or small family. Bathwater is not sourced from the hot spring.

Every room includes a private bath, air conditioning, a shower with a heated toilet, a powder space, and a full set of amenities. Some rooms also include a sauna or health meter.

Dining

Come hungry—Arima Royal Hotel is a destination for food lovers. You can enjoy high-quality local ingredients, including premium beef brands like Kobe and Sanda Wagyu.

Kobe and Sanda Beef: Taste the richness of two of Japan’s most famous beef varieties. Each course uses only certified A4 or A5 grade meat, selected under the watchful eye of the head chef.

Kaiseki Dining: Each meal is a seasonal journey through local flavors. From delicate appetizers to beautifully plated mains, every dish reflects the freshness of the ingredients.

Hot Pot Options: You can also request shabu-shabu, sukiyaki, chanko, or seasonal hot pots. Ask about available courses when you book.

You can choose from several set course meals, including those focused on beef comparison, smaller refined servings, or meat-focused courses. Repeat diners often return for the food alone.

Onsen and Wellness

The Kinsen is known as one of the oldest and most mineral-rich hot springs in Japan. Arima Royal Hotel offers you multiple ways to enjoy these healing waters.

Large Communal Bath: Open from afternoon to midnight and again in the morning. Soak in mineral-rich water that warms your body and soothes your muscles.

Open-Air Bath: Open until late at night. Relax under the stars with the steam rising around you. A bathing tax applies at check-in.

Please note: The private in-room baths do not use hot spring water.
