Overview
At the foot of Mt. Adatara, Yui no Sato Azumakan invites you to immerse yourself in the timeless healing of Dake Onsen. This hot spring has flowed for over 1,200 years, and the ryokan channels that long history into every part of your stay. Surrounded by nature, this is a place where you can let go of daily stress and simply enjoy the sound of water, the rustle of leaves, and the comfort of hot baths.
Whether you’re soaking under the moonlight or enjoying a quiet breakfast with mountain views, Azumakan offers a peaceful setting where you can recharge, reflect, and savor the seasons.
Accommodation
Azumakan offers rooms for every style of traveler, whether you’re traveling alone, as a couple, or with family. All rooms are non-smoking and come with Wi-Fi, private baths, and thoughtful amenities like yukata robes, toiletries, and hair dryers.
Choose from spacious Japanese-style rooms with tatami flooring or Western-style rooms with soft beds and sofas. Larger groups can relax in connecting rooms or the special suite, which includes low beds on tatami mats and space for up to eight people. Each room offers you a chance to unwind and enjoy time with those closest to you.
Dining
The buffet at Shokusaisai Yui no Ichiraku lets you enjoy what you like, as much as you like. You’ll find around 50 dishes—from local favorites to creative seasonal plates—featuring fresh vegetables, seafood, meat, and desserts made with care.
Live kitchen stations prepare meals right before your eyes, so you can enjoy the aroma and taste of food at its freshest. Dinner service runs from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m., with 90-minute seating times. Depending on how busy it is, dinner may start as early as 5:30 p.m.
In the morning, start your day with fluffy Koshihikari rice grown in Otama Village, fresh-baked bread from a local bakery, grilled fish, egg dishes, and Fukushima’s signature side dishes like squid with carrots. Breakfast is served from 7:00 to 9:00 a.m., sometimes until 9:30 a.m.
Onsen and Wellness
Azumakan’s hot spring baths use free-flowing, naturally sourced water known as “Bijin-no-yu”—a name that means “beauty bath” for its skin-softening qualities. Two open-air baths, one for moon viewing and the other for flower viewing, offer peaceful spaces where you can soak in the fresh air and your own thoughts.
Inside, the large public baths provide calm and warmth in a spacious setting. If you want to enhance your relaxation, step into the dry sauna for a refreshing cycle of heat and cool-down.
The open-air and indoor baths are open from 5:00 to 10:00 in the morning and from 12:00 to midnight. Saunas are available until 9:00 p.m.
Each bathing area includes thoughtful amenities such as lotion, face soap, shampoo, toothbrush sets, and more. Massage chairs are also available (fee required). Please note that individuals with tattoos or who are intoxicated are not allowed to use the public baths.
Guests with Tattoos
If you have tattoos, you won’t be able to use the public baths. Please check with the front desk for private bathing alternatives.
