With 24-hour baths, seasonal cuisine, and peaceful ocean views, this is a place where time slows down.

Accommodation

Every room at Akatsuki no Yado Daitoku faces the sea, offering you stunning views of the open water. From spring through early fall, the sunrise lights up the sky just outside your window.

Choose from three types of rooms:

  • Hinode-no-ma (Sunrise Room): This room accommodates up to three people. You’ll sleep on two semi-double beds and a futon set in the Japanese-style area. It’s perfect for families or small groups who want both comfort and tradition.
  • Kuroshio-no-ma: This room fits two people with two semi-double beds. It’s a relaxing space ideal for couples or friends looking for a quiet coastal stay.
  • Japanese-Style Room: This tatami room fits up to five people. You’ll sleep on futons and enjoy a peaceful, traditional atmosphere—great for families or groups.

Each room is designed to give you space to unwind and enjoy the ocean view in privacy and comfort.

Dining

The meals at Daitoku change with the seasons and highlight the freshest catches from Choshi Fishing Port. Whether you’re enjoying a light breakfast or a seafood feast, the dishes are prepared to bring out the best of local ingredients.

Some highlights include:

  • Seasonal Seafood Dishes: Enjoy fresh shellfish, sashimi, and grilled specialties made with fish caught nearby.
  • Kinmedai (Splendid Alfonsino): Taste this local favorite as a simmered dish or in a light shabu-shabu.
  • Live Abalone: Choose grilled or sashimi-style abalone for a rich, ocean-fresh flavor.
  • Live Turban Shell: Served grilled or raw, this coastal delicacy is a house specialty.
  • Three Kinds of Oysters: Try a seasonal tasting plate of oysters, each with its own rich texture and taste.
  • Anko Nabe (Winter Only): During the colder months, you can enjoy monkfish hotpot prepared in the traditional “dobujiru” style.

Breakfast is served year-round and includes a balanced variety of local and seasonal items. Meals are served in the dining hall with table-and-chair seating for your comfort. Let the staff know your preferences or ask about current seasonal dishes when you book.

Onsen and Wellness

Daitoku offers two types of indoor baths: a hinoki bath and a pearl bath. Both are available 24 hours a day. Because the baths alternate between men and women daily, you can try both during your stay—one at night and the other in the morning.

The soothing scent of hinoki wood and the soft touch of pearl water help ease tension and leave you feeling refreshed. After a day at the beach or exploring the area, a soak in these baths is the perfect way to unwind.

Guests with Tattoos

If you have tattoos, you are welcome to use the public baths. Just be mindful of other bathers, or ask the staff if you’d like guidance on quieter times.

Akatsuki no Yado Daitoku offers comfortable, clean, and simple facilities:
