Accommodation
Choose from both Japanese-style and Western-style rooms. Each room includes air conditioning, a TV, slippers, and a private bathroom. The ryokan has 35 rooms and can host up to 100 people. All rooms offer free Wi-Fi, and LAN cables are available if you prefer a wired connection—just ask the staff. Rooms are clean, quiet, and comfortable, with everything you need for a restful night after a day of sightseeing.
Dining
Start your morning with breakfast served between 6:30 and 8:00 AM. After a day of exploring Hiroshima, come back for dinner between 5:00 and 8:00 PM. Meals are simple, but satisfying, and offer a chance to enjoy traditional Japanese flavors in a relaxed setting.
If you’re planning to arrive late, you can let the ryokan know in advance. Dinner is available until 8:00 PM, so you still have time to unwind with a warm meal.
Onsen and Wellness
Ikawa Ryokan includes a public bath where you can soak and relax. After walking through the city or visiting historical sites, take a moment to refresh your body in the bath before settling into your room.
Guests with Tattoos
The ryokan is casual and welcoming. If you have tattoos and want to use the public bath, you may want to check with the staff first, just to be sure. However, because the atmosphere is relaxed, most travelers can enjoy their stay without issue.

The ryokan includes an elevator for easy access to all floors. Housekeeping keeps the rooms tidy, and full-day security ensures you feel safe throughout your stay. You can also store your luggage if you arrive early or want to explore after checking out.
Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the ryokan, and parking is available on-site for a fee. If you’re traveling by car, you’ll find space for up to 20 vehicles, including three spots for mid-sized buses.
Check-in runs from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM. If you’re arriving later, just let the staff know in advance. Check-out is at 10:00 AM.

Ikawa Ryokan is located right in the center of Hiroshima, so you can walk to many popular attractions. Peace Memorial Park is only about nine minutes away, and the Atomic Bomb Dome is less than one kilometer from the ryokan.
From here, it’s also easy to take day trips to places like Miyajima, Hiroshima Castle, and Shukkeien Garden. You can even travel to the Kintai Bridge in nearby Iwakuni.
The ryokan also provides a small meeting room. If you’re visiting Hiroshima with a group for a sports event, cultural activity, or conference, you can reserve this space in advance.
