Overview

IRODORI KOYO welcomes you to the heart of Mie Prefecture, where the Suzuka Mountains meet Ise Bay. Surrounded by forests and valleys, this ryokan invites you to experience the full spectrum of Japan’s seasons—cherry blossoms in spring, vibrant greens in summer, fiery autumn foliage, and the soft silence of winter snow.

Everything at IRODORI KOYO centers around color—both in nature and in the design of your experience. From beautifully plated seasonal meals to rooms designed with distinct hues and patterns, every moment here brings color to your journey.

Accommodation

Each room at IRODORI KOYO reflects a unique sense of color and comfort. You can choose from five room types, including spacious Japanese-style rooms and Japanese/Western-style combinations. The tatami mats, edge detailing, and wall designs all change subtly between rooms, giving each space its own personality.

All rooms offer panoramic views of Yunoyama’s natural scenery, allowing you to unwind while surrounded by seasonal landscapes. Whether you’re watching the trees change colors or enjoying the silence of snow-covered hills, your room becomes a private retreat in nature.

Free Wi-Fi is available in all rooms, and you’ll also find comforts like a tea set, LCD TV, safe, and hair dryer.

Dining

Enjoy colorful dishes made with fresh ingredients from Mie Prefecture. The chefs combine local flavors from the sea and mountains, creating meals that highlight what each season brings.

Dinner features beautifully arranged Japanese cuisine served in a multi-course kaiseki style. Each dish showcases regional ingredients like sashimi, dashimaki tamago (Japanese omelet), and fresh vegetables, all designed to complement freshly cooked rice.

Breakfast is a traditional Japanese set meal, offering a peaceful way to start your morning. If you have any dietary restrictions or preferences, let the ryokan know in advance and they will adjust the menu for you.

Onsen and Wellness

IRODORI KOYO is home to Yunoyama Onsen, also known as “Shika no Yu” or “Deer’s Hot Spring.” According to legend, a wounded deer healed its injuries in these waters. The spring is known for making skin smooth and healthy, and its mineral properties help soothe both body and mind.

Large Public Baths: These baths overlook the valley and let you soak while watching the scenery change through the seasons.

Open-air Baths: Located in a separate forested area about three minutes from the main building, these outdoor baths offer the feeling of bathing deep in nature.

Hot spring hours run from afternoon into the evening and again in the early morning, so you can enjoy them whenever it suits your rhythm.

Guests with Tattoos

If you have tattoos, it’s recommended to use the private open-air baths or contact the ryokan in advance.
