Overview
Jinpyo Honten was established in 1901 and is located in the Nagano Prefecture near the natural hot spring baths sourced from Jigokudani.
Jinpyokaku Honten is a very traditional ryokan with only six guest rooms. There is a public onsen separated by gender for men and women and some of the rooms have their own private onsen. The dining experience focuses on region-specific produce, such as the famous Shinshu beef, grown on local apples and other fruit.
Accommodation
The rooms at Jinpyokaku Honten are classic and traditional, but many of them have been renovated to feature their own onsen. It is worth noting that this ryokan has a very long history stretching back through the Meiji, Taisho, Showa, Heisei, and Reiwa eras.

Facilities
Jinpyokaku Honten is very traditional, so the best part about staying here is experiencing a ryokan that was established in 1901.
You will start by taking the small traditional Japanese path then reach the seasonal courtyard which is perfect for having a zen moment. Winters here make the courtyard spectacular with lots of snow, while summers bring a gentle breeze through the green leaves.
The onsen here are a highlight as the water is naturally sourced from the nearby hot springs. For your dinner, you will be invited to a semi-private dining area. Check out the Enjitsu, a gallery that exhibits ryokan’s works related to the ryokan’s historical guests.
