Matsumoto Ryokan offers both Japanese-style (washitsu) and Western-style rooms. The Japanese rooms feature authentic clay walls and natural tatami mats crafted by Kyoto artisans, creating a comfortable and relaxing atmosphere. Rooms are equipped with a unit-style bath and toilet, and include amenities such as yukata, towels, toothbrush, razor, body soap, and a hairdryer. The ryokan offers plans that include breakfast and dinner, featuring simple yet hearty Japanese dishes served in the main dining area. Breakfast is served from 7:00 AM to 8:30 AM, and dinner from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, ensuring you’re fueled for a day of sightseeing. Onsen and Wellness

Matsumoto Ryokan has a communal bath on the basement level, open from 5:00 PM to 12:00 AM and again from 6:00 AM to 9:00 AM. The bath offers a soothing escape to help you relax after a day of exploring Kyoto.

Guests with Tattoos

If you have a tattoo, you may use the communal bath as long as your tattoo is covered by a waterproof seal. Please bring your own seal as they are not provided on-site.
