Overview
Beppu Nagomitsuki sits quietly in a residential area just beyond the city’s busy streets. Known as a gourmet hideaway, this ryokan offers an escape for hot spring lovers and food enthusiasts alike. From the moment you pass through the entrance curtain, a calm atmosphere takes over. The sounds fade, the rush disappears, and time slows down. Every element—from the garden path to your room’s lighting—gently guides you toward rest and renewal.
This is not a place for elaborate staging. Instead, Nagomitsuki focuses on what matters most: comforting spaces, sincere hospitality, and unforgettable meals made with the freshest local ingredients and high-quality hot spring water. Here, you can return to your natural self and enjoy every moment without distraction.
Accommodation
Nagomitsuki has just 12 rooms, allowing for careful attention to each detail. Every room includes a semi-open-air bath with 100% natural hot spring water flowing directly from the source. The water feels soft against your skin, and you can enjoy a soak whenever you wish—before dinner, after breakfast, or deep into the night.
Rooms combine traditional Japanese features like tatami, fusuma, and shoji with modern touches including Wi-Fi and comfortable Western-style beds. Choose from three room types:
Double Rooms
Relax in a calm space with a plush double bed that promises restful sleep. You’ll find yourself surrounded by peaceful silence, far removed from Beppu’s lively pace.
- Standard Double (24–29㎡): Accommodates 1–2 people
- Superior Double (32㎡): Accommodates 1–2 people
Twin Rooms
These rooms blend Japanese aesthetics with Western practicality. The twin beds offer comfort, while the larger layout gives you more room to unwind.
- Standard Twin (32–36㎡): Accommodates 1–2 people
- Superior Twin (43㎡): Accommodates 1–3 people
Detached Special Room
Enjoy a more private experience in the Deluxe Twin (48㎡), a standalone room with a stone hot spring bath. This retreat lets you completely step away from your daily routine.
Each room includes a television, private bathroom, washroom, bidet toilet, safety box, refrigerator, and a full set of amenities. You’ll also find complimentary mineral water and a welcome drink upon arrival.
Dining
Meals at Nagomitsuki are designed to satisfy even the most refined tastes. The kitchen draws from the bounty of the Bungo Channel and the seasonal offerings of Oita’s mountains and farms. Each dish highlights the natural flavor of its ingredients, creating a balance between elegance and simplicity.
You’ll dine in the restaurant to enjoy each course at its best—hot dishes served warm, and cold plates presented at just the right moment. However, the pace of your meal always follows your comfort. After dinner, return to your room for a bath, music, reading, or simply gazing at the stars.
In the morning, breakfast helps you wake gently from your slumber. Expect a colorful, nourishing spread designed to refresh both body and mind.
Onsen and Wellness
Every room comes with its own semi-open-air bath, letting you soak as often as you like. The water is 100% natural and flows freely without circulation. This sodium chloride-sulfate spring combines the benefits of two sources: one promotes warmth retention, and the other supports recovery from wounds and high blood pressure.
The smooth texture of the water and its natural temperature make it ideal for multiple soaks throughout your stay. There’s no need to plan around bath hours—your bath is always ready.
Guests with Tattoos
Because each room has a private bath, you don’t need to worry about restrictions. You can fully enjoy the onsen regardless of tattoos.
