Overview
Onishiya Suishoen is a traditional ryokan with some of the most beautiful open air baths in Kinosaki Onsen area. Story has it that long ago, storks were said to heal in these hot springs.
Check in, change into your traditional yukata robes and venture out to also check the seven unique outdoor baths available at at Kinosaki Onsen, said to be loved by ancient travelers and famous writers.
Accommodation
The rooms at Onishiya Suishoen are traditional Japanese with tatami flooring and futon beds. The room served as a day living space and at night, the staff moved the low table and the seating cushions to the side, making room for the futons.
If you wish to stay in a classic Western style room, you can opt for a twin or a single room with normal beds.
Dining
Dinner at Onishiya Suishoen is a great, traditional Japanese experience. You can expect a menu of seasonal, delicate and refined dishes.
Go for Ayaori Kaiseki in the winter with boiled crap and Tajima beef suiyaki, or for the Tajima’s Three Great Tastes plan which includes live abalone and steak.
Onsen & Wellness
There are two baths available at Onishiya Suishoen: Suzaku no Yu for women and Byakko no Yu for men.
Both genders have an indoor bath, a jacuzzi, an open-air bath, a sauna, and a cold bath. Don’t miss the after bath area with tea in the lobby.
