Overview

Ryokan Asukasou is located at the entrance of Nara Park, just a 3-minute walk from Nara’s Kofuku Temple. Ryokan Asukasou lets you have easy access to some of Nara’s most famous attractions.

Accommodation

Choose between rooms with Western beds or Japanese futons. All rooms are air-conditioned and come with a flat-screen TV, private bathroom, fresh green tea, and cable. To make things easier, you can rent bikes and use the free Wi-Fi in the lobby.

Dining

Ryokan Asukasou offers kaiseki dinners at Kachomon Restaurant or in its Japanese-style guest rooms. When staying in Western-style rooms you can upgrade the dinner menu to include tempura and charcoal grill dishes for an additional charge. The ryokan also features a coffee lounge on the first floor, perfect for relaxing with a warm beverage.

Onsen & Wellness

The Outlook Open Air Bath is on the roof and has a great view of Kofuku-ji Temple, which is a World Heritage Site.
The large public baths feature beautiful granite and are a relaxing place to relax.
This bath, which is available for a fee, offers a private setting with stunning views of Kofuku-ji Temple. Reservation is required and it’s perfect for guests with tattoos.

The onsen use carbonated calcium artificial hot spring water.

Guests with Tattoos

Guests with tattoos are generally not allowed in the public baths. However, the ryokan provides 8x10cm waterproof stickers to cover tattoos, allowing you to use the onsen facilities as long as the tattoos are fully covered.
