Overview
Takuminoyado Yoshimatsu is a traditional ryokan located in the scenic Hakone region, surrounded by bamboo groves and trees. Perched on a hill overlooking Lake Ashi, it offers a peaceful retreat where you can enjoy the beauty of Japan’s changing seasons. Yoshimatsu is built in the Sukiya style, inspired by traditional tea ceremony architecture. From your room, you can admire views of the garden, Mt. Fuji, and the surrounding landscape, making your stay both serene and visually enriching.

Yoshimatsu offers a range of Japanese-style rooms, from cozy spaces for two to larger suites that can accommodate families or groups. Each room is designed with traditional tatami mats and sliding shoji doors, providing an authentic experience of Japanese living.
- Standard Japanese-Style Rooms: Available for 2 to 5 guests, these rooms offer a simple and comfortable stay with views of the garden or the surrounding landscape.

- Luxury Suite: This spacious suite offers views of Mt. Fuji and a private open-air bath, perfect for those looking for a more exclusive stay.
Each room provides a peaceful retreat where you can fully immerse yourself in the beauty and tranquility of nature.
Dining
At Yoshimatsu, you will enjoy kaiseki ryori, a traditional multi-course meal, prepared with seasonal ingredients. Fresh seafood from nearby fishing ports and vegetables from local markets are carefully selected to create visually stunning dishes. Meals are served in your room, allowing you to relax and savor each course in privacy. The careful presentation of both the food and the dishware reflects the culinary expertise and care taken with each meal.
If you have any food allergies, be sure to inform the ryokan at least five days before your arrival. Please note that alternative menus for wheat and seafood allergies are not available.
Onsen & Wellness
Yoshimatsu offers several hot spring baths where you can unwind and rejuvenate. There are two large communal baths, Suruga-no-yu and Sagami-no-yu, each connected to outdoor open-air baths. For more privacy, you can reserve the indoor private bath or select a room with its own outdoor hot spring.
The bathing experience follows the Japanese custom, where you clean yourself thoroughly before entering the hot spring to relax and soak.
Guests with Tattoos
Please note that guests with tattoos need to cover them when using the communal baths, as is customary in traditional onsen settings. You are welcome to enjoy the private bath facilities for a more comfortable experience.
