Overview
Yamamura Bekkan sits in the heart of Nagato Yumoto Onsen, the oldest hot spring in Yamaguchi Prefecture, with a history stretching back over 600 years. The inn combines traditional Japanese charm with attentive service, giving you the chance to slow down and enjoy the natural surroundings. The alkaline spring water here is famous as “water for beautiful skin,” and you can experience it in both spacious public baths and intimate private baths. With seasonal kaiseki cuisine, comfortable rooms, and relaxing hot spring facilities, Yamamura Bekkan offers you an authentic and restorative stay in the quiet mountain town of Nagato.
Accommodation
You can choose from five types of rooms, designed to suit solo travelers, couples, or larger groups:
- Japanese-style rooms (10–12 tatami mats, non-smoking): Spacious and simple, these rooms offer a calming view of the mountains of Yumoto. They can accommodate up to five people.
- Japanese-Western style rooms: A mix of a 12-tatami mat Japanese room and a twin-bedded Western room. Perfect for families or friends who want both futons and beds.
- Twin rooms and single rooms: Comfortable for business travelers or shorter stays.
- Special Room “Aidama”: Located on the top floor, this one-of-a-kind room is available to book for just one group per day. It combines a Japanese-style space with twin beds and can host up to eight people, offering expansive mountain views.
Every room includes a private bath and toilet, shower, air conditioning, TV, empty refrigerator, and free Wi-Fi. You will also find yukata, bath towels, face towels, shampoo, body soap, toothbrush, and a hair dryer.
