Onsen and Wellness
Step into the rejuvenating waters of Gero Onsen, one of Japan’s top three hot springs. The ryokan’s bathing areas include open-air baths and large indoor baths for both men and women. Newly renovated in 2024, the women’s outdoor bath “Sai-no-Yu” offers sweeping views of the city and surrounding mountains. The men’s open-air bath, “Asa-no-Yu,” lets you soak under the stars while taking in the nightscape.
The indoor baths have wide windows that let in natural light during the day, creating an open and airy space. The water is a simple alkaline spring with a high pH, known for making your skin feel smooth and soft. You can enjoy the baths as many times as you like during your stay.
Guests with Tattoos
If you have tattoos, you cannot use the public baths unless you cover them completely with the designated cover seal provided by the ryokan (available for purchase). Please check with the front desk for guidance.
