Overview
Enjoy quiet moments in a hidden corner of Yamaguchi, where hot spring traditions and warm hospitality welcome you. Yumoto Kanko Hotel Saikyo stands just steps from Daineiji Temple and offers a relaxed atmosphere perfect for couples, families, and travelers looking to unwind. Whether you’re staying for a weekend or exploring the Nagato area, the inn gives you a chance to soak in natural hot springs and enjoy seasonal dishes made from local ingredients.
Accommodation
Choose from a selection of Japanese-style rooms in the main building or stay in the detached annex, Saikyotei, for a more private and spacious experience. Rooms feature tatami floors, low tables, and futon or Western-style beds depending on the room type. Some rooms come with private baths, while others include only a toilet.
The smallest room includes 8 tatami mats and a queen bed, ideal for solo travelers. Larger rooms accommodate up to five people and range from 10 to 12 tatami mats. In the Saikyotei annex, you’ll find two adjoining rooms with a combined layout of 12.5 and 4.5 tatami mats, offering both space and comfort.
Each room includes a TV, kettle, refrigerator, air conditioning, hairdryer, yukata, and basic amenities like towels, soap, shampoo, and conditioner. Smoking is not permitted in any of the rooms. Wi-Fi is available in the lobby, but not in the guest rooms.
Dining
Seasonal meals showcase the rich flavors of Nagato. If you book a half-board plan, you’ll enjoy both dinner and breakfast prepared with care using local seafood, mountain vegetables, and regional delicacies. The hotel serves breakfast in the morning, and multi-course Japanese meals in the evening.
Dining plans range from room-only to breakfast-inclusive or half-board, allowing you to choose how much you’d like to include during your stay.
Onsen and Wellness
The hotel features a large indoor bath, an outdoor rotenburo, and a sauna. Relax in the steamy mineral water while surrounded by quiet mountain scenery. The natural hot spring water soothes muscles and warms your body from the inside out.
Bathing areas are separated by gender. Bring the bath towel from your room or request extras at the front desk. While there’s no private onsen, the main facilities provide enough space and variety for multiple visits during your stay.
Guests with Tattoos
Guests with visible tattoos may not be permitted in the public baths. Please contact the hotel directly for options such as tattoo cover stickers or alternative arrangements.
