Overview

Stay Sakura is a ryokan in Asakusa with the unique concept cultural experience in the spirit of sumo. Stay Sakura was once a sumo stable, previous known as Konoe Stable. It preserved its historic architecture but Stay Sakura and introduced family accommodation and private onsen.

Accommodation

You can select between a range of rooms that match your budget and travel style. All rooms feature a combination of traditional Japanese aesthetics and modern comforts, including kitchens and laundry facilities. This ensures a home-like experience.

Deluxe Suite: Perfect for family trips and it accommodates up to six guests. It includes tatami areas and features a private onsen.

2 Bedroom Suite: Two bedrooms and a central dining table, ideal for multi-generational stays.

The family suite is a sleek Japanese space that’s big enough for four people, with comfy couches and tranquil decor.

The twin room has a panoramic view of Asakusa from the wooden terrace, ideal for those who enjoy cityscapes.

Standard and Superior Studios: Both have a lot of space and multiple bedding options.

Onsen and Wellness

The deluxe suite features an open air bath on the terrace. Please note that the open air bath does not draw waters from a natural hot spring.

Facilities

The entrance features a shimenawa, crafted by the same artisans responsible for the grand shimenawa at Izumo Shrine. This reflects the spiritual heritage of sumo.

You will find room cards named after past yokozuna and surprise displays of yokozuna banzuke, for an even more sumo-themed experience.
