Overview

Hotel Kazusaya brings together the spirit of Edo and the energy of modern Tokyo. Founded in 1891, this long-standing hotel stands at the crossroads of people, history, and culture in Nihonbashi. From the moment you arrive, warm hospitality and meticulous service welcome you into a space designed for both relaxation and exploration. Whether you’re staying for business or leisure, the hotel offers a peaceful escape in the heart of one of Tokyo’s most vibrant neighborhoods.

Accommodation

The hotel offers 154 rooms inspired by traditional Edo-era color palettes known as “Shijuhaccha Hyakunezumi” — a refined range of earth-toned browns and grays. Every room is equipped with a water purification system, ensuring the tap water is gentle and safe. You’ll also find a mini fridge, electric kettle, and full Wi-Fi access.

Room types include:

  • Single Rooms (bathtub or shower booth)
  • Semi-Double Rooms (bathtub or shower booth)
  • Double Room
  • Twin Rooms (bathtub or shower booth)
  • Triple Room
  • Deluxe Twin Room

Some rooms feature Shirasu walls, which help regulate humidity, absorb odors, and reduce virus transmission — adding comfort and peace of mind.

Each room includes a bed suited to the room type, work desk with outlets and LAN access, television, air purifier, and a selection of amenities. You’ll also find thoughtful design touches like fabric mists, tea sets, and easy-access electric outlets to make your stay comfortable.

Dining

Start your day with a carefully prepared Japanese breakfast. The meal includes steamed rice cooked in a traditional pot using premium Koshihikari rice from Fukui, a hearty miso soup filled with seasonal vegetables, handmade pickles, seaweed from a renowned Nihonbashi purveyor, and a rotating grilled fish selection.

Try the fluffy house-made rolled omelet made with a rich dashi broth from the century-old katsuobushi shop Ninben. Every element of the meal reflects careful craftsmanship and a love of simple, honest flavors.

You’ll find this breakfast served in the on-site restaurant, Shokudo Sakana Toki no Kane, a casual yet refined space offering Edo-style fusion cuisine. Lunch and dinner are available on weekdays, with a menu that blends traditional Japanese dishes and Western-style favorites.

Signature dinner options include:

  • Edo Dashi Shabu: Thinly sliced meats and fresh vegetables simmered in rich dashi made with freshly shaved bonito.
  • Seasonal Kaiseki: A monthly menu featuring expertly arranged dishes using ingredients at their peak.
  • Nighttime O-banzai: Small, comforting plates to pair with local sake or beer — perfect for a relaxed evening.

Onsen and Wellness

Soak in the large communal bath “Toki no Yu,” located on the second floor. The bath area pairs black tones with warm wooden textures, capturing a stylish yet traditional feel. You’ll bathe in a tub made from Towada stone, which shimmers green when wet — a natural stone often called “the stone of serenity.”

The women’s changing area includes secure access and is fitted with ReFa hair dryers and a range of skincare products. Every shower stall features a Mirable Zero head, a high-tech fixture designed to deeply cleanse using ultra-fine water bubbles. This system gently refreshes your skin while creating a spa-like atmosphere.

The bath area is open morning and evening, with facilities including:

  • Large soaking tub
  • Separate washing stations with dividers
  • Amenities like shampoo, body soap, cotton pads, and hairdryers
  • ReFa and Mirable systems for enhanced hair and skin care

Please bring your towels from your room when using the bath.

Guests with Tattoos

The hotel does not allow individuals with tattoos or body art to use the bath facilities. If you have questions about alternative options, please speak with the front desk before your visit.
