Accommodation
Choose from six room styles, including both Western-style twin rooms and traditional tatami rooms with twin beds. Some rooms include larger seating areas or garden views, giving you extra space to relax. All rooms include a private bath and toilet, so you can enjoy privacy and comfort throughout your stay.
You’ll find calming interiors with natural light, soft bedding, and spaces that reflect the quiet elegance of a Japanese inn. Barrier-free access is available in certain areas, and all rooms are designed to help you unwind after a day of exploring or bathing.
Dining
Enjoy local flavors through a variety of seasonal meal plans, many based on Shinshu’s famous ingredients. You can choose from different styles of set meals and kaiseki courses, often featuring premium Shinshu wagyu beef, local salmon, or mountain vegetables.
Whether you prefer classic dishes or want to try something unique—like horse sashimi or five-color sushi—you’ll find a plan that suits your tastes. Breakfast typically includes nourishing local favorites that prepare you for a day of sightseeing or skiing.
Onsen and Wellness
Nozawa Grand Hotel features three types of onsen and two distinct spring sources. The rooftop open-air baths overlook the village, offering a spectacular view of the mountains and changing skies. These baths are accessible from the third-floor large bath area via a barrier-free corridor with an elevator.
You can also experience a newly renovated indoor bath with soft tatami floors, which create a warm, non-slip surface underfoot. The water flows directly from the famous Ogama and Shinyu sources—natural hot springs known for their quality and beauty.

In spring and summer, enjoy strolling through the ryokan’s wooden walkway surrounded by trees. The corridor leads you to the panoramic bath, letting you fully experience the mountain air and the passing seasons. In winter, return from the slopes and soak in the naturally heated waters sourced from the Ogama spring.
The ryokan is also part of a local onsen association that participates in scientific onsen testing. Through ORP analysis (oxidation-reduction potential), Nozawa’s waters have been confirmed to be among the most rejuvenating in Japan. This means the baths here are not only refreshing but may also support your skin’s natural recovery—an ideal choice for wellness-focused travel.
