Overview

Rurikoh blends traditional Japanese hospitality with thoughtful innovation. The name comes from the “Rurikoh Hot Spring Source,” one of the origins of Yamashiro Onsen. Located in the heart of Kaga Onsen Town, Rurikoh invites you to enjoy the future of Japanese inns while honoring the culture that shaped them.

You’ll find new ways to experience hot spring healing—across open-air baths, private tubs, and seasonal cuisine—alongside elegant service that reflects centuries of hospitality.

Accommodation

Choose from traditional tatami rooms, deluxe suites with beds, or rooms with private open-air baths. Every space includes clean lines, warm tones, and features that let you settle in comfortably.

Suite Rooms

Enjoy wide, open rooms with both Japanese and Western styles. Some suites include private open-air baths with natural hot spring water, wood decks, or massage chairs. The layout offers privacy and space to relax. These rooms come with access to the exclusive Club Lounge.

Deluxe Rooms

These rooms feature tatami floors, twin beds, and larger seating areas. They include full bathrooms and thoughtful details like massage chairs and spacious layouts. Some rooms come with beds, while others offer traditional sleeping areas.

Standard Rooms

Standard rooms combine simplicity with comfort. You’ll sleep on futons or beds in a tatami-mat space with natural lighting and a calm atmosphere. They suit solo travelers, couples, or groups.

Twin and Single Rooms

Compact and practical, these rooms are perfect if you’re looking for a simple place to rest after a full day. Each includes a full bathroom, refrigerator, and basic amenities.

All rooms are non-smoking and include Wi-Fi, air conditioning, TV, and private bathrooms. Room types accommodate between two and ten people, making it easy to plan for families, couples, or groups.

Dining

Rurikoh’s cuisine highlights the rich flavors of Kaga’s land and sea. Dinner includes seasonal multi-course meals prepared by a grand chef, served with carefully selected ingredients at their peak condition.

You can enjoy dinner at Restaurant Nisaburou, where you’ll choose your main dish, or at Restaurant Tenpyou, a bright space with large windows offering seasonal views. Breakfasts feature Western and Japanese options, sometimes served as a buffet or a set meal, depending on the season.

If you stay in a suite, you may receive a more personalized dining experience.

Onsen and Wellness

Rurikoh offers many ways to enjoy hot spring bathing:

Open-Air Baths

Soak under the sky with views that shift with each season. The women’s bath, Gekko, and the men’s bath, Nikko, offer separate bathing areas and changing scenery throughout the day.

Public Spa

These large baths are open 24 hours, with a sauna available from 3:00 PM to 10:00 PM. Towels and full amenities are included. The facilities offer thoughtful touches like baby cribs, shower chairs, and skincare products for both men and women.

Private Open-Air Baths

Reserve one of five unique private baths, including rock baths, Japanese cypress tubs, and garden-style spaces. Each offers quiet time for you to unwind without sharing the space.

Footbath and Sister Inn Access

Enjoy the footbath at Rurikoh or walk five minutes to Sister Inn Hatori for more hot spring experiences. You can also visit two nearby local facilities, Kosoyu and Soyu, for traditional hot spring hopping.

Please note: If you have tattoos, use of the public baths is not permitted. You may use a private bath or book a room with an open-air bath.

Guests with Tattoos

You may not be able to use the public baths if you have tattoos. However, private open-air baths are available to reserve, or you can stay in a guest room with a private bath.
