Overview
Step into Kotobuki-Tei and leave the everyday behind. Surrounded by forested mountains, this traditional ryokan offers quiet comfort, refined hospitality, and beautiful seasonal views. From the moss-covered stones in the garden to the small shrine tucked between trees, every part of the grounds reflects the spirit of Japan’s heritage.
Walk through the entrance and find yourself in a spacious, nostalgic lobby where warm lighting and natural materials welcome you. Whether you’re here for a quiet retreat or a special celebration, you’ll feel at ease the moment you arrive.
Accommodation
Stay in one of 35 classic Japanese-style rooms, each designed with simplicity and comfort in mind. Rooms feature tatami flooring and a calm, clean aesthetic. Some deluxe rooms include private baths, perfect for family stays or special occasions.
Every room includes a toilet with a washlet. Change into your yukata, provided for you during your stay, and relax as you watch the sky shift over Mount Gozaisho. Whether you rest in a standard or deluxe room, the peaceful mountain setting surrounds you.
Dining
Taste the richness of Mie Prefecture through seasonal dishes made with ingredients from both land and sea. The kitchen prepares fresh local seafood and regional specialties, many of which you won’t find outside this area.
Enjoy meals in your room at your own pace. You can add a la carte dishes or try something new each night. From traditional banquet meals to delicate desserts, the ryokan serves food that brings both comfort and delight.
Onsen and Wellness
Soak in water drawn from Yunoyama Hot Spring, one of the region’s most well-known natural sources. This spring contains sodium bicarbonate, fluorine, and metasilicic acid, which are said to benefit both body and mind. You can enjoy a public open-air bath or reserve one of several private baths for a more intimate experience.
Relax in the resting room afterward. Use a massage chair or simply sit quietly and take in the view. The calm atmosphere of the bathhouse complements the quiet of the mountains outside.
Guests with Tattoos
The site does not mention restrictions related to tattoos. If you’re unsure, using a private bath may offer the most comfort.
