Overview

Yudanaka Onsen Yorozuya invites you to experience the timeless charm of a traditional Japanese inn, paired with the soothing power of natural hot springs. Located just a 7-minute walk from Yudanaka Station, the ryokan offers you an ideal base for exploring the famous Snow Monkeys of Jigokudani, the historic Zenko-ji Temple, and the surrounding mountains.

This historic inn blends authentic Japanese architecture with the warmth of natural wood, tatami mat flooring, and a welcoming atmosphere. The highlight is the Momoyama Bath, a registered tangible cultural property, alongside several other beautifully designed baths fed by three different hot spring sources. Here, you can soak in mineral-rich waters while surrounded by mountain air and the beauty of nature.

Whether you come for the baths, the seasonal cuisine, or the sense of history, Yorozuya creates a stay that connects you deeply to the traditions of Nagano.

Accommodation

At Yorozuya, each room reflects traditional Japanese aesthetics, featuring tatami floors, low tables with cushions, and futon bedding. The ryokan offers multiple room layouts to suit your needs:

  • Main Tower Japanese Room (10 + 7 tatami mats) – Spacious enough for a relaxing stay, with separate sleeping and sitting areas.
  • Main Tower Japanese Room with Bed – A mix of Western convenience and Japanese style, perfect if you prefer a bed to futon bedding.
  • Main Tower Japanese Room (10 + 4 tatami mats) – A comfortable option with a smaller secondary room for reading, tea, or quiet conversation.

Every room includes a seating area, LCD television, fridge, safe, and yukata robes. Your private bathroom gives you convenience, while the large windows let in soft natural light. The décor emphasizes warm colors and clean lines, encouraging a slower pace during your stay.

Dining

Your stay includes freshly prepared Japanese cuisine that celebrates local flavors and seasonal ingredients. Dinner is served in Main Dining Horai, a beautifully decorated space that adds an artistic touch to your meal. Breakfast and dinner follow traditional presentation styles, with multiple courses arranged for both beauty and taste.

If you have specific dietary needs, including halal or vegan, the kitchen can accommodate them with at least one week’s notice. Smoking is not allowed anywhere inside the building, ensuring a fresh dining atmosphere.

The most famous is the Momoyama Bath, an entirely wooden bathhouse built in the style of a temple, and recognized as a registered tangible cultural property. Its high ceilings and intricate woodwork create a feeling of stepping back into another era. You can also enjoy the Garden Open-Air Bath, surrounded by fresh air and natural scenery.
