Kannon Onsen is a secluded hot spring area in the mountains of southern Izu, in Shizuoka Prefecture. Reached by winding roads and surrounded by forest, it feels quieter and more remote than the better-known resort towns along the peninsula’s coast, making it a natural fit for travelers drawn to a slower, more tucked-away side of Izu.
