Overview

Asaya Hotel invites you to experience 130 years of hospitality in the heart of Kinugawa Onsen. With seasonal mountain views, a star-filled night sky, and open-air hot springs at the highest point in the area, every part of your stay helps you unwind and reconnect. Whether you come for the baths, the food, or the peaceful setting, you’ll find everything designed for comfort and care.

Accommodation

Asaya Hotel offers a wide selection of rooms across two buildings—Hachibankan and Shuhokan—each filled with thoughtful touches and a relaxing atmosphere.

Hachibankan Rooms: These spaces reflect the feel of a traditional Japanese inn. You’ll sleep on Simmons beds, surrounded by the scent of Kyara wood and the calming effect of charcoal interiors.

Shuhokan Rooms: These rooms feature high ceilings, elegant design, and views of the surrounding mountains and cityscape. Choose from Japanese-style, Western-style, or Japanese-Western rooms, including options with open-air or panoramic baths.

All rooms are non-smoking and include a private hot spring bath. You’ll also have an LCD TV, bidet toilet, refrigerator, electric kettle, tea set, safe, free Wi-Fi, and a full amenity kit with towels, yukata, toiletries, and slippers.

Dining

Asaya Hotel offers multiple dining experiences using fresh, local ingredients prepared in both traditional and creative ways.

Buffet Dining at ASAYA GARDEN: Choose from over 100 Japanese, Western, and Chinese dishes, prepared fresh in an open kitchen. Seasonal food fairs highlight local produce and themes, from strawberries in spring to melon in summer.

Kaiseki Cuisine in Private Rooms: If you prefer a quieter setting, enjoy multi-course seasonal kaiseki meals in a private room, served with care and attention to detail.

Creative Cuisine at Wisteria: For a more intimate dining experience, this semi-private restaurant delivers beautifully plated meals inspired by the region.

Onsen and Wellness

The healing waters of Kinugawa Onsen flow throughout the entire hotel. Every bath draws from Asaya’s own source, known for its benefits to circulation, joint health, and overall recovery.

Sky Garden Open-Air Bath: Located at the top of the hotel, this bath offers panoramic views of the mountains and city. Soak under the stars or in the morning breeze.

Large Communal Baths: Both buildings feature expansive public baths with semi-open-air jet baths, saunas, and nano-mist steam rooms.

Private In-Room Baths: Every room includes a private bath supplied with pure hot spring water. You can relax in complete privacy anytime during your stay.

Guests with Tattoos

Since every room has a private hot spring bath, you can enjoy the healing waters without concern, no matter your personal style.

Facilities

Asaya offers a wide range of amenities to fill your stay with fun, relaxation, and convenience:

  • Entertainment Areas: Visit the karaoke room, game center, nightclub, and teahouses.
  • Relaxation Spaces: Try a bedrock bath, massage, or reflexology session. You can also book private baths for an even quieter soak.
  • Shops and Souvenirs: Browse local gifts and Asaya originals on Souvenir Street or take in views from the tea lounge Mizuki.
  • Children’s Area: The Kids Room “Warabe” gives families space to play, while seasonal pools and family dining options round out your stay.
