Overview
Centurion Hotel & Spa Ueno Station gives you a stylish city stay in one of Tokyo’s liveliest districts. Ueno Station, Ameya-Yokocho, restaurants, shops, museums, and Ueno Park are all close by, making this hotel a practical base for sightseeing, business, and short Tokyo breaks.
The hotel blends bold design with useful comfort. You can stay in compact rooms for solo travel, larger rooms for family or group stays, Japanese-Western rooms in the annex, or selected rooms with open-air baths. After a full day in Tokyo, the large spa area gives you a place to reset with an artificial radium bath, sauna, cold bath, and rest space.
Accommodation
Centurion Hotel & Spa Ueno Station has 93 rooms across the main building and annex. The room range is broad, so you can choose a simple single or double room, a queen room, a twin room, a family room, a cabin-style private room with bunk beds, a Japanese-Western room, or a room with an open-air bath.
The standard single, double, queen, and superior queen rooms suit short stays, business trips, and city sightseeing. They keep the layout compact while still giving you the essentials for a comfortable night in Ueno. The cabin room is a private room with bunk beds, not a shared dormitory, making it useful when you want a simple group-friendly layout.
For more space, the premium queen, superior twin, superior family, family twin, and premium family rooms work well for small groups or families. These rooms use bed combinations such as queen beds, double beds, semi-double beds, bunk beds, and sofa beds depending on the room type. The larger family rooms also include separate bath and toilet areas.
The annex rooms include moderate double, superior double, and Japanese-Western rooms with single, double, or queen layouts. These rooms give you a slightly different stay from the main building, with Japanese touches and easy access to the same hotel services. The public bath is in the main building, so you will need to move between buildings when staying in the annex.
The open-air bath rooms are the strongest choice when you want extra privacy and a more relaxing in-room bath experience. Comfort Twin, Executive Twin, and Deluxe Family room types include open-air baths, with layouts suited to couples, friends, or families. All rooms include free Wi-Fi and useful in-room basics such as a refrigerator, kettle, washlet toilet, nightwear, towels, and bath amenities.
Dining
Yakiniku Yansando serves lunch and dinner inside the hotel. This long-established Ueno yakiniku restaurant has been part of the area for more than 50 years and focuses on carefully selected meat, classic seasoning, and a sauce passed down over time.
This is a good dining choice when you want a full meal without leaving the hotel area after a long day in Tokyo. You can enjoy grilled meat in a relaxed setting, then return to your room or head to the spa without needing another train ride.
Breakfast is not currently served at the hotel.
Onsen and Wellness
The spa area is one of the main reasons to stay here. Centurion Hotel & Spa Ueno Station has separate men’s and women’s bathing areas with an artificial radium hot spring bath, bubble and jet features, sauna, cold bath, lockers, shower booths, amenities, and a rest area.
The men’s and women’s spa areas both include an indoor artificial radium bath, a sauna heated to around 100°C, and a cold bath with jets at around 15°C to 16°C. The contrast between sauna, cold bath, and rest time makes the spa especially useful after walking around Ueno, Asakusa, Akihabara, or central Tokyo.
The bath is available for overnight stays, except during the late-night cleaning period from 2:00 to 4:00. You can use the spa repeatedly during your stay, making it easy to bathe after arrival, before bed, or before heading out in the morning.
Guests with Tattoos
Centurion Hotel & Spa Ueno Station has shared public spa baths. Tattoos are not permitted in the shared bathing areas.
Facilities
Centurion Hotel & Spa Ueno Station includes a large public spa, sauna, cold bath, rest space, Yakiniku Yansando restaurant, coin laundry, ice machine, microwave, vending machines, smoking areas, free Wi-Fi, wake-up call service, delivery service, and fax service. There is no hotel parking, so nearby parking is needed when arriving by car.
The coin laundry is useful for longer stays or light packing. The ice machine, microwave, and vending machines add convenience between meals, while the spa and rest area give the hotel more appeal than a standard city business hotel.
Activities
The Ueno location makes it easy to enjoy Tokyo without long transfers. You can walk to Ameya-Yokocho for food, shopping, and lively street energy, then continue toward Ueno Park for museums, galleries, seasonal flowers, and open green space.
From Ueno, you can also reach Asakusa, Akihabara, Tokyo Station, Ginza, and other central districts by train. This makes the hotel a strong base when you want a mix of shopping, culture, food, and easy transport. After your day out, the spa gives you a reliable place to unwind before the next morning.
