Overview

Stay around five minutes on foot from the south exit of JR Mishima Station and enjoy easy access to the Tokaido Shinkansen, local trains, and the sights of eastern Shizuoka. Dormy Inn Mishima gives you more than a convenient place to sleep, with a regional breakfast, thoughtful complimentary services, and natural hot spring bathing on the top floor.

The main highlight awaits on the 12th floor. Natural Hot Spring Fugaku no Yu looks toward Mount Fuji, giving you the chance to admire the mountain while soaking when the sky is clear. You may also see the Tokaido Shinkansen passing below, adding a distinctive view to your bathing experience.

Accommodation

Choose from Single, Double, Twin, and Universal Rooms. The interiors use a simple, darker colour scheme that helps you settle down after travelling, working, or sightseeing. Train View Rooms are also available when you would like to watch the Shinkansen pass near Mishima Station.

The 14.5-square-metre Single Room includes a 120-centimetre-wide Simmons bed. The 15-square-metre Double Room gives you a wider 140-centimetre bed, while the 20-square-metre Twin Room includes two separate 100-centimetre Simmons beds. A Universal Room provides an accessible option with a more suitable layout for reduced mobility.

Your room includes free internet access, a private shower booth, a refrigerator, an electric kettle, a bidet toilet, a hairdryer, towels, slippers, and comfortable clothing that you can wear around the hotel. Shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hand soap, a toothbrush, a razor, a hairbrush, and cotton buds are also provided.

Most rooms are non-smoking. Smoking rooms are located on the third floor, while enclosed smoking booths are available on the first and 12th floors.

Dining

Begin your morning with a Japanese and Western buffet at the first-floor restaurant. Breakfast runs from 6:15 AM to 9:30 AM, with final entry at 9:00 AM.

The regional speciality is Suruga-don, prepared with tuna, boiled sakura shrimp, and whitebait from Suruga Bay. Add ginger soy sauce before enjoying the different seafood flavours together over rice.

You can also choose freshly prepared egg dishes and small bowls of Japanese sides from the Mini Bowl Alley. Warm dishes are kept warm, chilled dishes are served cold, and the smaller portions make it easy to sample more of the breakfast selection.

The kitchen handles major allergens and uses shared equipment, cooking oil, and serving utensils, so cross-contact cannot be completely prevented.

Each evening, you can return to the restaurant between 9:30 PM and 11:00 PM for complimentary Yonaki Soba. This light ramen combines noodles with a mild soy-based soup, giving you a warming snack before bed.

Onsen and Wellness

Natural Hot Spring Fugaku no Yu occupies the top floor and includes separate bathing areas for men and women. Each side has an indoor natural hot spring bath, an open-air bath, a high-temperature sauna, and a chilled water bath.

Wide openings beside the baths reveal Mount Fuji when weather conditions allow. You can watch the light change across the mountain in the morning or evening, then move to the open-air area to cool down in the fresh air. The Shinkansen may also pass through the view below.

The sauna includes three levels of seating, a television, and an automatic löyly system that releases water over the heated stones. After warming your body, you can cool down in the temperature-controlled water bath and rest on the chairs inside or beside the open-air bathing area.

The natural water comes from a private source and has sodium, chloride, and sulfate characteristics. Bathing in it is associated with relief from joint pain, muscle pain, and neuralgia.

The baths remain open from 3:00 PM until 10:00 AM the following morning. The sauna closes between 1:00 AM and 5:00 AM. You may bring drinking water into the bathing area for hydration, but food and alcoholic drinks are not permitted.

Guests with Tattoos

You cannot use the shared indoor bath, open-air bath, sauna, or water bath if you have tattoos. There is no private hot spring bath.

Facilities

The 12th-floor bathing area includes changing rooms, washing stations, bathing products, laundry facilities, and a resting area where you can cool down after your soak. Ice treats are available beside the elevators during the afternoon and evening, while a fermented milk drink is provided in the morning.

On the lower floors, you can use the lobby, restaurant, vending machines, complimentary Wi-Fi, and fast check-in facilities. Luggage storage is available before check-in and after check-out until later that same day, although fragile items and valuables cannot be accepted.

Useful loan items include humidifiers, air purifiers, phone chargers, desk lamps, extension cords, irons, trouser presses, extra pillows, blankets, umbrellas, hair irons, and children’s indoor clothing. Supplies remain subject to availability.

Parking includes both outdoor and multi-storey spaces. Use is offered on a first-come basis, and advance reservations are not accepted.

Activities

Walk through Mishima and discover a city shaped by clear spring water from Mount Fuji. Rakujuen Park and the waterways around Genbe River are close to the station, giving you an easy route through ponds, small streams, shaded paths, and green spaces.

Continue toward Mishima Taisha, one of the city’s main cultural landmarks. You can combine the shrine with a walk along Sakura River and the surrounding streets, where water channels and literary monuments reflect Mishima’s history.

For wider mountain views, take a bus from Mishima Station to Mishima Skywalk. The long pedestrian suspension bridge looks toward Mount Fuji when the weather is clear and also gives you access to forest activities and outdoor attractions.

Mishima Station makes it easy to continue toward the Izu Peninsula, Hakone, and other parts of eastern Shizuoka. After returning, you can head straight to the 12th floor for another hot spring soak.

Check-in begins at 3:00 PM, and check-out is by 11:00 AM. A complimentary welcome drink is available in the lobby during set morning and afternoon hours.

After bathing, you can enjoy complimentary ice treats from 3:00 PM to 1:00 AM. A fermented milk drink is available from 5:00 AM to 10:00 AM, while Yonaki Soba is served every evening from 9:30 PM to 11:00 PM.
