Hakone Airu offers fifteen beautifully designed guest rooms, each featuring a private open-air hot spring bath. Rooms are spread across three floors, each with unique views of the surrounding mountains. The fourth-floor rooms provide panoramic views of the Hakone mountain range, with spacious terraces and comfortable furniture like sofas and ottomans. The third-floor rooms also offer expansive terraces, where you can relax and enjoy the natural scenery. If you’re looking for a more budget-friendly stay, the second-floor rooms still offer great views and private baths, allowing you to unwind in your own space.

Dining at Hakone Airu is an experience filled with seasonal flavors and local specialities. The ryokan specializes in Kaiseki meals, meticulously crafted using ingredients sourced from the local area. You can enjoy fresh seafood caught from Sagami Bay and carefully selected domestic beef. There are also separate large public baths available 24 hours a day, designed in a tropical theme, letting you soak while gazing at the stars above. The natural hot spring water is known for its soothing properties, helping to relieve muscle pain, neuralgia, and improve circulation.

Guests with Tattoos

If you have tattoos, you are welcome to use the open-air baths in your private room. However, please note that tattoos are not permitted in the shared public baths.
