Overview

Gamagori Hotel offers comfort and convenience near JR Mikawa Miya Station, making it a practical choice for both business travelers and vacationers. While the atmosphere is simple and a bit retro, the hotel welcomes you with warm hospitality, natural onsen, and thoughtful details designed to ease your stay. The highlight? A private open-air bath where you can watch the sun melt into Mikawa Bay.

The hotel features a main building, a new wing, and an annex—each offering different experiences. Since 2016, the annex has brought added space and services, all while keeping the focus on friendly service and relaxation.

Accommodation

Rooms are designed with the theme of “spacious, clean, and easy to use.” Choose from single, twin, or double Western-style rooms, each with private bath and toilet. The new wing offers 57 twin rooms, while the main building features 54 rooms including Japanese rooms and family-friendly spaces.

Room Features Include:

  • All rooms with private bath and shower
  • Air conditioning and heating
  • TV and satellite broadcast
  • Refrigerator (empty)
  • Amenities like towels, bathrobes, toothbrushes, razors, shampoo, conditioner, hairdryer, and yukata

The hotel also offers special barrier-free rooms for those with mobility needs, complete with flat floors and accessible bathroom layouts. Some rooms also allow stays with pets.

Dining

Located on the 7th floor of the new wing, the La Mer restaurant lets you enjoy meals with views of Mikawa Bay and Takeshima Island. Meals feature local produce from the Higashi Mikawa region and freshly harvested fruits. Breakfast includes a buffet of balanced Japanese and Western selections, served in a relaxed, scenic setting.

Onsen and Wellness

The hotel’s highlight is the Bijohaku-sen, a natural hot spring known as a “beauty bath.” This mildly radioactive radon spring flows from 1,200 meters below Mt. Harayama and offers a silky texture believed to smooth the skin and warm the body to its core.

New Wing – Rooftop Baths (Reservation Only)

Enjoy sunsets and starlit skies while soaking in a private open-air bath above Mikawa Bay.

Annex – Garden Public Bath

Relax in a traditional bath surrounded by a Japanese garden. Please note, this bath uses regular heated water and not natural hot spring water.

Stone Spa

Located in the new wing, the Ganban-yoku (stone spa) features mineral-rich “treasure stones” from Kita-Shitara. These rare stones emit abundant negative ions and far infrared rays, helping promote circulation, detoxify the body, and balance your nervous system. The calming warmth and energy help relieve fatigue and restore vitality.

Reservations are required the day before.
