Overview
Hakuba Tokyu Hotel is a mountain resort hotel at the foot of the Northern Alps in Hakuba. You stay in a four-season resort setting, with easy access to skiing and snowboarding in winter, hiking and nature activities in the green season, and Hakuba Happo Onsen after a day outdoors.
The hotel combines spacious Western-style rooms, natural hot spring bathing, Shinshu-focused dining, a lounge and bar, seasonal activity support, and resort facilities that make your stay smooth in every season. This is a strong choice when you want mountain air, onsen time, and a comfortable base close to Hakuba Happo-One.
Accommodation
You can choose from Alps Side and Village Side rooms. Alps Side rooms face the hotel garden and the Northern Alps, although the mountain view can vary by floor and location. Village Side rooms face the main entrance side, with forest surroundings and distant mountain views from some upper floors.
Room types include Economy Twin, Standard Twin, Deluxe Twin, Top Floor rooms, Suites, and concept rooms. Economy rooms are compact twin rooms without balconies, while Standard rooms give you more space and a calm natural-color design. Deluxe rooms are around 40 square meters, giving you a wider layout when you want more room to relax. The 68-square-meter Suites sit on the fourth and fifth floors, with only one suite on each of those floors.
The concept rooms add a more playful stay. Arbre is a 64-square-meter room inspired by Hakuba’s forest and mountain setting, while Pike Nike is a family-focused room designed with a camping-style mood. The Theater Room gives you a studio twin layout with a screen-style entertainment setup, making it a good choice when you want to relax indoors after a day outside.
Your room includes Wi-Fi, television, refrigerator, safe, kettle, washlet toilet, nightwear, towels, and bath items. The rooms use pale natural colors so the indoor space does not distract from the scenery outside. The hotel also uses the Green Coin system, so you can skip disposable items and support environmental conservation through the hotel’s program.
Dining
Dining at Hakuba Tokyu Hotel focuses on Shinshu ingredients and seasonal flavors. Restaurant Chamonix serves breakfast and dinner, with cooking that highlights local produce, seasonal ingredients, and the character of Hakuba. Dinner is served as course-style French cuisine, and vegan menu options are also available by arrangement.
Japanese Restaurant Manyo now serves French kaiseki as the main accommodation-plan dinner. The style keeps a Japanese sense of season while using French-course structure, giving you a meal that feels both refined and connected to local ingredients. Manyo also has private-room seating, which works well when you want a quieter meal setting.
Breakfast is served at Chamonix as a Japanese and Western buffet. You can enjoy local Shinshu dishes, Western breakfast items, and fresh morning flavors before heading out to the mountains. In the green season, terrace seating may open when weather and daily conditions allow.
Lounge and Bar The Lodge gives you a relaxed place for drinks, light meals, and quiet time by the fireplace. Opening days, menus, and restaurant operations may change by season, so dining service should always be matched to your travel dates.
Onsen and Wellness
Hakuba Tokyu Hotel’s large public bath uses natural Hakuba Happo Onsen, an alkaline simple hot spring with a pH of 11.2. This high-alkaline water is known as a “beauty bath” because it leaves the skin feeling smooth after bathing. The water is also associated with relief from tiredness, neuralgia, joint pain, muscle pain, and sensitivity to cold.
The bath area has indoor large baths and open-air baths for men and women. The open-air baths let you enjoy the outside air after skiing, hiking, or walking around Hakuba, although they may close during snowfall for safety. The men’s large bath also has a sauna.
Bathing is available from early morning until late morning, then again from early afternoon until late night, with cleaning time in between. The changing rooms and bath areas include shampoo, conditioner, body soap, skin-care items, and hair dryers. Aromatherapy treatments are also available by reservation when you want deeper body care after outdoor activity.
Guests with Tattoos
Hakuba Tokyu Hotel has shared public hot spring baths, so tattoos are not permitted in these bathing areas.
